Hi CaptainSwag, it would be nice to find some official article or explanation, but I can't find any

I assumed like yourself that the closed period would end when the Suriname deal was made public but I don't have a clue when a closed period might start for the Saffron drill because we have known that was coming for ages.

Posting as one of the thickies on here, I googled "Closed periods" and only got

"The close period is the time period between the completion of a listed company's financial results and the announcing of these results to the public."

I can't find any references to what constitutes other closed periods.

If someone has a link that would be great

Not really LGO-fan, I failed my 'O' level in French in 1953

They were called 'O' and 'A' levels then, not GCSE

45 days takes us to mid December.
If the assessment is positive he will probably give us that in an RNS just before Christmas.
If it is negative, he will possibly delay it so it doesn't spoil our Christmas.

A follow on thought Bamps21, previously the company's interpretation of "a few days" has been very different to the generally accepted interpretation

It might not be that many Bamps21, for although the 'spud' was announced on the 29th October, in the same RNS they said "The Company expects to advance to drilling with the 8½ inch pilot hole in the next few days".
