Oh Si Si, You do make me laugh. Your third sentence sums you up neatly, " this is a near term project". Nothing is further from the truth and what's more you know it. RBD is good for short term/day trading only. Any dividends are light years away. I know the reasons why you try to portray it otherwise, and attempt to attack me personally. Well dear Si it's like 'water off a ducks back'. If you were not so transparent in your postings some would even believe that you are not actively involved in the business. Forget dividends for 2-3 years at least in my opinion.

The regulation has a number of key features:
it requires EU countries to produce a national integrated energy and climate plan for the period 2021 to 2030 by 1 January 2019, and then every 10 years for the following 10-year periods;
it establishes a consultation process between the European Commission and EU countries, and regional cooperation between EU countries, before the plans are finalised, and then every 10 years for the following 10-year periods. For the period to 2030, the plans need to be updated by 30 June 2024;
it requires EU countries to prepare and report to the Commission long-term low-emission strategies with a 50-year perspective, in view of contributing to broader sustainable development goals and the long-term goal set by the Paris Agreement;
it requires EU countries to produce biennial progress reports on the implementation of the plans from 2021 onwards across the 5 dimensions of the Energy Union, to track progress;
it requires the Commission to monitor and assess EU countries’ progress towards the targets, objectives and contributions set in their national plans;
it sets out the requirements for national and EU inventory systems for greenhouse gas emissions, policies, measures and projections.
FROM WHEN DOES THE REGULATION APPLY?
It has applied since 24 December 2018.

More Regulations coming from the European Union to control all aspects of life inside supposedly 'independent' countries. Thankfully we are getting out legally on Friday and will not be under their clutches any longer. Just musing but could the lack of movement on RBD be in anyway tied into this?

Simon for once we almost agree. It's not local ward level I was really intested in. But at main council planning level regarding deviations from the original submissions,. Whatever; the time frame as stated by the directors in an RNS last June was for the works to take place in Q3 which is july-Sept 2020. So we are now running 4 months over without any news....not good enough!

I may have missed something but, I see nothing on the East Riding agenda for the main meeting on the 30th January (next Thursday) nor any Ward meetings regarding Rathlin, I was especially looking for Variation of Conditions Application.

High time this little bottom drawer baby of mine started to move. This year transfomative?....rhetorical, I think a good chance.

Chris, There are a number who have an input into the 'parent' overseeing authority East Riding of Yorkshire Council, any one of which can individually 'put a spanner' in the operation, should agreed proceedures not be adhered to. I trust that whatever is happening behind the scenes, no problems will be insurmountable. RBD should in my opinion at least give some update on what is holding matters up.

Speculation of what will happen next are at this moment in time is pointless. Factually I would however say that Rathlin has until September 2021 to do all the works, clear the site and return the countryside back to nature. One has to remember that this will probably be the final chance with this particular venture, as more and more local councillors are turning hostile. And Rathlin has already been warned by the East Riding Council that no futher extension will be permitted. Therefore time is not on Rathlin's side. Many more months of delay (for whatever reason) could be terminal. Let's hope not.

There are other Authorities involved in this venture other than O & G (clue). When RBD do get the go ahead I would be interested to know at that time that, not only has the additional equipemnt been sourced but firm orders placed, and include the lead times of the said equipments. What all P.I's really need is meaningful RNS's not a drip drip approach. If we have to wait many weeks for news let it be substantial.

I think the question you pose in your last paragraph is probably answered by yourself in the first. This is AIM remember. Whilst I am not a lover of more red tape in business, the EU have tried over the last few years to introduce more transparency into the markets, however there is still a great deal left for 'fun and games'.

No Chris not yet. As you know I sold at 1p months ago. I need to be more confident in W.N before moving again. As I alluded to in a recent post there should have been an RNS out about the requisite further submission on W.N,and my research tells me there has not (one had not been received as of last Friday). If W.N is being held up due to possible bad weather issues then in my opinion we should be informed. I know these matters take time, and call me a cynic but whilst the two S's are taking hundreds of thousands out of the business every year do they need to rush matters?

Chris, there cannot be many more months to go before we will hve 'significant' news about West Newton, and I don't mean that the Authority's have received Rathlins submission and acceptance RNS's. That I believe will, at a best case scenariol be March/April. So late summer is my guess for signifant news. Hopefully it will be positive. G.L all.

Pumping, surface separation, fluid storage tanks and other testing equipment has been sourced to undertake this work. Regulatory approvals to re-commence the EWT are currently being sought. Once these approvals have been received, the equipment will be mobilised to site at the earliest opportunity and the EWT will re-commence.

Above is an extract from latest RNS dated 18th December. As of Friday last week no such regulatory submission appears to have been received by the relevant Authority. Therefore should we all have an explanation from the company as to what is the hold up?
