I buy at 2304p Shell today. I was hoping of more share fall. Maybe 2300p is a bounce off support price. So I lost some £700 in Divi’s as sold out yesterday. So if Shell goes back to 2400p, I make £3K profit in a couple of days/week. I buy as American Share Futures are recovering some bigger falls from earlier, so maybe a warning shot for now. Let see what happens, GLA

Share Market Sell Off likely go into next week. Too much damage on Wall Street. Walmart, Target, Cisco warning on profits as well as host of others. Everyone is feeling cost pressures. So there is a balance between oil demand destruction & oil supply constraints. Fear of recession is getting more real. Then calls for WFT cannot be ignored so likely.

Yesterday the big funds were ploughing in. Two buys at 75 million shares at close for a 20p Divi. Somewhat despair, then Inflation & WFT issues. All building up for a big correction as many on this chat board have suggested. So time to bag a profit. If Shell goes down a couple of £1’s it’s an even better buy.

Yes, I still think £26 is a fair price for Shell shares. That will be a bumpy ride up. In the meantime if I can make profits trading it so all the better. I’m now in cash & not worry too much about a 20p Dividend.

Looks like share markets recovery lost steam. I would think share markets down week next week. So Shell shares going to drop I think more than 2%. Then Brent Crude could fall back as EU postpones total oil & gas ban. They may instead favour Russian oil & gas tariffs . That’s all going to take time to implement & some uncertainties. So Shell shares may dip more near term.

Yes, no much confidence in the shares market. Maybe rally steam runs out. Sold Shell today as they reach highs. Looking to buy at lower levels. Can’t see EU deal this week. Brent may fall again.

I’m hoping £26 + Shell Divi in short term. Seems reasonable on back of suitable EU ban on Russian oil & gas.
Note: Germany is saying it will go it alone on this twin ban. Hungary wants Billions of Euro’s in compensation as reliant on Russian Energy. Can’t see that happen. Saudi’s say no point in pumping more oil, refiners can’t handle, Summer driving season higher oil usage, China ending lockdowns in June & China said to reflate economy due to CoVid issues. See Brent Crude closer to $120 price. Shell share going higher. So I’m not selling Shell shares.

See Brent oil up this week. On back of EU oil & gas ban from Russia. See compromises like Hungary with longer time scales to implement ban. Shell shares going up.

You’re right nobody really knows. I’m talking about a deep recession mind you!

Immediate recession I mean now. Then the size of recession coming maybe mild initially then pick up. That did happen in 1987 Stock Market Crash with 12-18 months real economy recession taking place afterwards. I’m of that age lived through it as a teen.

After Boris PM & Rishi Sunak Chancellor saying today now considering Energy Windfall Tax. So political pressure & public pressure are weighing in that favour. Chairman of Tesco Plc favours energy windfall tax because customers are rationing food purchases & need money help. Sunak says if Energy companies are not making sizeable investments fast in the U.K. energy sector then he favours a Windfall Tax.

My issue with Strix shares continuous down cycle in share price. Most of us making quite hefty losses. The company is sound but no big demand for shares. I may buy back around 140 pence mark, lower maybe. The dividend for me is not a big draw with a declining share price. With a X- Divi next week, the shares will likely reduce more than the dividend payment. So another loss for shareholders I fear. Maybe the big shareholders could stick it out as it’s not their own personal funds at a loss. Best hope for Strix is to bulk up sales using other people’s resources & money.

Higher energy prices likely to push up US inflation. Maybe the US Fed goes for 0.75 % interest rate rise in one go, never seen in 40 years. Share markets may ignite upwards as Fed seen more aggressive. I think Shell share price to go higher.

Oil supply tight. New oil sources take time to harness. Insatiable demand for holidays, travel will keep oil demand high. Then Europe will agree more Russian oil sanction together with G7 pledge yesterday, note Japan big oil importer. China economy slowing but they kickstart with monetary stimulus on the cards. So Saudi’s cut oil prices to Asian customers to compete with cheap Russian oil supplied to China, India. I can see Western nations curtailing this through trade pressure and reasoning. So today oil price down with Shell shares. I can’t see America wanting a recession so will co-ordinate to act with G7, G21 for stimulus plans. Shell shares hopefully go up into this week. Oil price super cycle should continue. Shell share price undervalued versus other oil majors. I would rather have profits now with Shell rather than so future promise of profits, which may not happen elsewhere!

I like Strix as a company. However the market is factoring a full blown global economic recession. It’s the shares market driving down Strix share price but company fundamentals are good for now. Therefore I think most shares going to drift lower. So I can see Strix come down to around 140p. The markets savage and later in the week American core CPi numbers likely bad reading due to higher energy prices. Markets going to turn down I think. Then today China export growth cut from 14% to 5%. So things swinging into reverse. DYOR

That why consumers are willing to pay high premium prices for them. Strix shares are substantially undervalued & I’ve just bought more Strix shares at a cracking price. So they are a good buy, DYOR. Shroders has been trading Strix shares again. That’s no big news. That may account for Strix price drop as they traded 1/2% holdings. Actually they have kept a stable holdings in Strix so it is great news.

Krustysmegma: Strix CEO says China Covid lockdowns increased the demand for their Kettle thermostats. So people at home drinking more home brewed beverages. That’s great. Strix is passing on price rises to customers. So they preserving their high profit margins on unique products. Strix has defensive growth qualities with a big Divi payout on a tried & tested business model. Strix share price weekness means a great buying opportunity. I expect shares to rise as they have dipped below 200p. Big Funds likely to lock into Divi payout of 4% but also invest in a unique company with great managers. As I said Strix is going to sell out to a bigger company. That’s why Strix top managers have all been buying shares as a Strix Takeover Bid will see Strix shares much higher reflecting the true value of the business !
