Yes a v low offer esp as one analysts price target had recently increased to 700p! Be good if it was rejected or we get an alternatative offer come in but i'm not holding my breath.
Small loss for me at this offer price ...
"...Mirada STBs now constitute approximately 5% of the expected 20 million global Android TV Operator Tier installed base in 2021. Omdia forecasts that 50 million Android TV Operator Tier STBs will be in use in 2024, and with existing and prospective customers actively considering replacing their legacy platforms, we are well-positioned to be a material part of that growth."
With 79% of their revenue coming from android licenses and if they could maintain 5% market share then 50M boxes in 2024 would represent a step change in fortune and maybe a payday for the (extremely patient) shareholders?
A nice thought but this is so firmly on the back burner for me now that i can barely raise much enthusiasm even for that! :)
Shame cos with the help of their longstanding financier, they are hanging on in there and it's starting to look like he might even get his cash back at some point..
Yes despite them warning on margins this year you've gotta think that the downside sp risk from here is limited. Happy to add at these prices for a medium term hold...
"The company still expects annual profit to be within the range of analyst expectations of £92.5m - £95.9m. Revenue for the four months to October 31 rose 31.1% year on year to £207.6m."
The consensus 21 eps is around 240p but not sure if that includes the latest upgrade. That puts us on some crazy low p/e imho. Can't help but feel that this will tick up again soon. I'm happy to hold medium term tho and take my divs along the way.
Interims out on the 9th and expected to show good growth. Shorts have bobbed up again in last couple of months but only to 1.4%. I guess the market is worrying about rising overnead costs but ii'll stick my neck out, buy a few more and say upward movement from here is more probable...

Good to see that AFRN are trying to address the problem of obsolete set top boxes. Must be a big positive from an operator point of view...
Dunno, the MM's seem to be happy to shift the price on tiny volumes. The largest trade on 1 Nov (big drop day) was an after hours buy of 135K. Are they just hunting for stops?
I'm not sure i'd describe this as 'almost debt free'
See for details :-

Quite so, and not bad going for and 'idiot'
Thanks, yes I often get in years too early too so lets hope i've timed it better here!
Only just come across SCE but it looks to suit my general strategy of a company that'll benefit from a med/long term shift-of-trend in a mass product, preferably with a high barrier to entry.
Was impressed by the management presentation regarding the economics of their brakes , esp regarding weight reduction/performance/improved lifespan and their plans for capacity expansion at the factory.
Happy to average my way in here for a medium term hold.
The current Invinity VS3 (3rd gen VFRB) was described in the 2020 report as representing the'Best of both' following the merger of Redt and Avalon. I assume that this is the unit currently being installed and manufactured for multiple clients as per the recent trading update.
So saying that Avalon bought 'nothing to the party' seems a tad critical imho.
Yes been great year but a bit of a sell off recently. Any idea why? I can't see any specific news to explain the drop and i sold quite a chunk above £23 so prob just others taking profits too. Will prob get back in but I'm concerned I may be missing something...
Open, if you don't care about losing money and are always publicly bearish, then i guess at least you can say 'i told you so' if or when you do then lose. You can also look back and say the same. If you're wrong then maybe the £ made is indeed, some compensation after all. As a win/win 'hack' it's a very unique approach tho and is bound to confuse most other people who are trying to make money (or at least, profit overall as part of a diversified portfolio). Obviously you do as you like, and say what you like but don't be surprised when people don't understand...
Oh i do love a good explanation..
5.6p represents the equilibrium SP between the opposing bearish (selling) and bullish (buying) sentiments. So far, so straightforward. But i'll give a gold star to the person who can explain why someone who, despite being a nailed on bear, refuses to sell their shares?
Answers on a post card pls, but don't send to me, life's too short! :)
