topped up and holding long
exactly, I don't get why sell now when telling all investors that big news due next week. Why not wait till next week ?
Same here, can sell but not buy
pls can someone share link to this news!
This is nerve wrecking - almost a 5% drop from morning highs :( could it be some news in the background or just the effect of FTSE being down
Please could someone share (add to) the key dates:
1) Sept (Exact date ?)- outcome of the investigation led by BOO
I made my first order from their website last week, ordered in the evening and had my order with me the next morning. Genuinely amazed at how quickly I had my order and at such low cost. Ok, the quality isn't the best, but what do you expect - its fast fashion wear a few times and get rid of it from something new. Will definitely be buying a lot more from them going forward :)
sorry, is it likely to be more accurate on the L2 console compared to the approximation comment below ?
Yeah, you are right @chrisengland! Agreed :)
Being so new at this, just trying to time it right for bigger gains hopefully!
Expectation today: Directors piled in yesterday, will trend up nicely if the rest of market is doing ok
Reality: FTSE is not doing too bad, this is declining
Something must be happening in the background to explain this, of which we will only find out post market closure I guess.
The problem is, and this is what I noticed last time round, it's a double hit if institutional sellers are offloading in the background. First its a slow drop during the day and then news are released post close and next day there is another sharp drop. Very tempted to buy now but I think it might be wiser to hold till Monday and see what happens. On the flip, could miss this golden opportunity to average down, doh!
Still some time to go till market closes, I thought if it dropped it will drop near the end of day. Wasn't expecting this sharp a drop now - perhaps more institutional sellers selling in the background ?
Exactly in same situation :)
Am invested in here already and I think this will increase on positive news.
I am a newbie so still need to learn a lot, today I was thinking the upward trend will continue but its down almost 4%. Could it be that more institutional are selling in the background, remember this happened last time and it explained to unexpected drop last time round - is it possible it could be the same thing happening ?
I do want to load up more, but not sure if I should buy now, last thing in the afternoon (see how it goes for the rest of the day), or Monday (see how the papers etc have an effect on it from over the weekend).
What are peoples views about the SP tomorrow and for the rest of the week ? Trying to figure out if I should pull out and buy when it drops further or just leave as is in the hope that even if it drops it will recover...
Investeriod - Your posts are very useful for me as a newby who doesn't know this stock at all. Maybe not for the pros here, but for me the stuff you share is very informative. Thanks for sharing them. I was reading back to get more information and saw you made some decent profits too, and exited at the right time. Well done mate.
However, flaunting your profits in faces of some despaired peeps on here is just very low, and saying and believing that you got it right every time blah blah. Maybe you got it right this time, maybe you get it right again, and again but there is no point boasting about it to a bunch of strangers on a BB, to the point that you have to share screenshots of your profits, that's just weird to me at least. Like I said, you seem to know this stock pretty well and are very up-to-date with the news and you talk a lot of sense (for me at least). Don't let the profits and the right shots you made get to your head mate, you will get burnt.
Keep the information flowing and thanks for it. All the best to you and everyone else here.
To further my understanding, so 75% of the revenue is coming from the US. Now when the US Covid situation was fine and Europe was bad, how come the SP just tanked even though ONLY 25% of the revenue was at risk. Why couldn't the US situation at that time hold the SP to not drop to the 40s and 50s. I understand the first drop to the 20s was assuming everything will close forever but then at that time the US should've held the SP up more no ?
Very first post so pls don't shoot me down for asking dumb questions, am new to this.
I have been reading the post on this forum for the last few days and it seems people are just bashing each other and defending their egos.
A lot of facts and news have also been shared.
As a newbie, my question would do - isn't all the uncertainty already priced and and this is why the SP is what it is right now ?
- The uncertainty of studios delaying further
- The uncertainty of Cineworld then further delaying the opening
- The uncertainty of US CCOVID situation
- All the stuff that Investeroid etc...keep posting here
Isn't all that already priced in, even the possibility of things getting worse already priced in. Isn't the market always pessimistic and would take the pessimistic view and price it accordingly ? So all of this stuff that is posted here, isn't it known already and priced in, wouldn't that mean that price would generally go up from here if things improve or like to stay the same levels even if things get worse ?
Apologies if this sounds dumb, should probably read a book to first understand how the stock market works.
