I’m assuming you’re referring to Bruner’s ‘30 days’ comment, fellow? I might be alone in not expecting that to be exact - things might happen to cause a delay and Bruner might be one for a sweeping statement or two. I hope he was right - but I’m not going to despair if he isn’t.

Unfounded. No sources given. Conjecture. A complete lack of background detail to this assertion. The usual nonsense.

A ChatGBT enquiry ‘Will SK344 be awarded by competitive bidding?’ is an interesting read and provides a few labyrinthine rabbit holes to fall into. ‘There is no clear evidence (so far) that Block SK344 will be awarded via competitive bidding—and current indications suggest a different pathway’ is their final analysis but there’s a lot of text and discussion of various scenarios which I won’t copy and paste onto here.

Of course, ChatGBT isn’t going to provide anything close to a definitive answer. Personally, I’m taking nothing for granted but my hope (and I’ve punted a far bit of my hard-earned cash on this) is that there is a seriously daft amount of oil in SK334 and that UPL will ultimately be awarded the PSC on a Joint Venture basis. I would be incredibly surprised if competitive bidding enters the equation. That’s what’s rattling round in my head - and I know other UPL investors who think similarly. I’m not reporting this as ‘fact’ but it’s my hope and expectation.

It’s worth mentioning that when I first invested in UPL, SK334 was the ONLY carrot that led this punter to chuck money at the company. Things are very different now and even more exciting. A browse through Adam’s (adamrlowe) weekly appraisals (usually posted on a Sunday) indicate just how many initiatives and new business relationships the company is now aligned with. For me, it’s very encouraging. UPL seem to have skin in a lot of games.

I’m very invested in UPL and remain very confident. I come on here to see the opinions of others and to ask questions. There are certain posters whose opinions I value and respect. I’m afraid I now summarily dismiss anything Stanley posts. It’s a conveyor belt of attention seeking, look-at-me stuff. It’s either the ‘I know more than you’ look-at-me gibberish to make himself seem important. Or the current, half-baked and unfounded recent negative stuff. It’s all designed to seek attention. None of it is erudite, articulate or mature. This forum would be better off without this kind of childish rubbish.

Excuse my ignorance, folks. How does it work having the stock on both the FTSE and the American exchange? I notice UPL closed at the equivalent of roughly 3.97p in the States. Does this not have any effect on my investment on the UK stock exchange?

I think the OTC market opens at 1430 (UK time). I wonder how this will affect the sp. As someone pointed out recently, American investors can be more aggressive. And there must be a host of Marc Bruner ‘fans’ who would ‘want in’. Interesting day.

Whether you’re right or wrong, you shouldn’t be posting ‘in the know’ announcements on a public forum. It’s the last thing the company wants or needs. And it’s the last thing long term investors want or need. Learn your lesson, lad. Leave the ego trips to your imagination and not your keyboard.
