SP down sharply despite very positive guidance from WEIR today & satisfactory Q1 results. I have been waiting to top up so did quite a lot this morning. Why is SP down anyway? anyone know?

Thank for that Mark. The yield is very high , but the SP continues to slide. Does that mean investors are not interested in the high yield ? I personally have trimmed back recently and dont intend to add now the SP has fallen since . I guess the next earnings report is key here. Hope its a positive one and decent guidance. GLTA

Hi, I'm new to dividend stocks - just wondered if the SP usually tanks after going ex-div . also does SP start to rise before it goes ex- div ? I saw that , and Moderna also confirmed they are talking to authorities in China about providing COVID vaccines to the Chinese older population.

I think the price is down 7 or 8 sessions in a row. I decided to trim back to 5% with SMT - i see it as a pure speculative play/investment. Sometimes it is immune to positive news or overall good days for averages. btw I'm usually wrong so expect a bounce in the next few days or so lol - any opinions welcome , I'm quite new to investing , just 2 years . it's been a rollercoaster so far , COVID , wars & high inflation. to name a few . GTLA
