I'm very pleased with the decision to replace MR. He's too lightweight, and the performance of our company and it's MCAP under his stewardship has been nothing short of abysmal. The Green Compliance acquisition was atrociously priced and the subsequent failure to comprehend either the working capital requirements or the impact on margins of accelerating delivery belies a comprehensive lack of understanding of the most basic aspects of M&A at the highest level. For the first time since the MCAP began it's descent I am considering topping up my sizeable position. I will seek correspondence with the BOD to reassure me that this would be a better bet than flushing another £25k down the toilet. All it would take is some sort of demonstration of commercial acumen beyond the level of a 9 year old. My spider senses are switched on here.

Quite right too - this has been a serial mistake for as long as I can remember. Hopefully the new management will show at least some commercial acumen and begin to turn this around, if it's not too late. I said I expected heads to roll, and roll they have.

Serial underperformance from this BOD. Absolutely awful update from a BOD that have, seemingly, totally misjudged almost every single aspect of the Minimise deal starting with the price, the working capital requirements and now the profit margins. I would expect heads to roll for this, but I think it's a vanity project for someone so I doubt it.

Nail/head. People are selling, so MMs move the price down to match the sales. Then more people start selling. Repeat and repeat. The LSE software display of a trade as a buy or a sell is so frequently incorrect as to render the figures totally meaningless, especially when the SP is moving quickly in either direction.

I'd suggest that any buying over that period has been dwarfed by the selling, either longs selling positions or new shorts.

Low Carbon or something.' Read the RNS again. The expectation was that the CCL would be withdrawn from 2020 onwards, that has been brought forward by 5 years without warning, and is now going from August this year. This will wipe out £7m from EBITDA this year and up to £10m-£11m next year and onwards. Dividend cover was already under threat. The 20% fall from the recent £2 SP is nothing to do with manipulation, it's to do with a massive negative impact to the earnings and profitability of the business.

Yep, that, combined with the proposed changes to planning procedures to make it (generally) harder to build new facilities. Tough day today, IMO, with it going XD and the continuation of the impact of yesterday's budget.

How long is long term if you're looking at price movements over a lunch break?

I don't know if you'll ever know though, because of that £5.5m, some may be written off. Doesn't make sense to issue at a crazy premium if they can be sold under a put option at £2m in 5 yrs time. Don't get me wrong, it's a good deal (I think), but not the bonanza deal of selling at 47p or whatever.
