Roughly 20 mins into the World Service programme Digital Planet - VRFB + interview with BMN

There are lots of loose ends that need tieing-up as we wait on a number of updates.
My own view is that the interlinked nature of the various projects involved probably means that any progress updates will come as a ‘batch’ rather than individual announcements. Eg: an announcement on Eskcom would necessitate reveal detail of other plans upstream and downstream within the business.
What I am trying to say is that I suspect there will be a splattering of RNS announcements on a single day. Hopefully positive ones.
Though, given recent market behaviours, there’s no guarantee this will have any impact on the sp, unless the news is profound and of strategic importance.
Number 5 seems to ring true. Market sees a mining company and that's about it. When BE gets its groove on the share price will explode. Just my theory, don't bet your house on it.

Nail on the head. RNS summary in one line!
As wild theories go this is right up there with the benefits of drinking dettol...
On the face of it this is a high risk company. It only does vanadium.
But BMN’s plans for vanadium are as diverse as they are exciting.
The VRFB concept is gaining traction globally. It’s already a reality in many places, albeit on a small scale. We are living in a time when there is unprecedented, urgent demand for credible energy storage solutions.
VRFB is just one solution. But it’s a proven one. If it captures just 5% of the available market this company’s future will be stellar.
I like the jigsaw analogy when describing BMN. This is a nuanced and multifaceted company where the right elements are carefully being fitted into the right places.
If I may extend the jigsaw analogy further; I think we’ve seen a lot of ‘pieces of sky’ over the last 12 months - it’s been hard to keep the faith when tangible progress isn’t obvious (and the share price is being kicked around in a cowboy’s market). But I feel strongly that the bigger picture is being built and will soon be there for all to see and profit from.
Sorry for '??' - it was a thumbs up when it left my keyboard!
Good points, well made. ??
Thanks - yes I take encouragement from the fact large scale redox implementation (of every flavour) is being seriously thought about. Threats from competitors aside, BMN is a far more developed and sophisticated proposition (in my opinion)
Meant to say - last post is the scientific paper on which the original article is based
It’s great to read discussion about large scale battery storage in general.
This research into Vanadium alternatives looks credible, the prof behind it is a serious http://chem.usc.edu/faculty/Narayan.html
If his ideas make it from test tube to commercial development then they pose an existential threat to VRFB. Carbon credentials very strong.
But that is a very big leap - as Alpha says, no commercially operational example to date.
Sanchez - do you have a link to that podcast, best wishes, p
Option (a) for me.
Biggest daily rise (I think) in its history suggests fundamental change.
My concern, and I admit this is from a pessimistic perspective, is that any share that can rise 40-50% in 3 hours can also fall just as quickly. Some of the stellar increases on AIM today are doing its already tardy reputation no favours. Have a look at the big falls too.
Well indeed. This p*ss pot index has seen us crash on hugely significant RNS announcements and surge on nothing at all. A cowboys' playground and the sooner we are out of AIM the better.
Good Morning,
Today, a new battery production company, InoBat Auto, has announced European Government investment to support a EUR 1 billion Gigafactory.
The investment from the Slovakian Government has contributed to the EUR 100 million first-phase fund raising to deliver the Gigafactory, which will deploy state-of-the-art battery technology with the potential to provide an estimated 240,000 electric vehicles with cutting edge batteries by 2024.
The announcement comes just days before the European Commission will present the first EU-Wide Climate Law and new Industrial Strategy, setting down its target to become the first Climate-Neutral Continent by 2050.
Please find more information in the press release below, and do get in touch with me personally if you would like further information. We will also be arranging a select number of interviews with Marian Bocek, Co-Founder of InoBat Auto, so do also contact me if this is of interest.
Very best wishes,
Hugh

Some very impressive customers/partnerships in this presentation.
Also my assumption. An uninterrupted power supply or UPS? If so there are many other types of business that need UPS; Data centres, hospitals etc....would be interested in reading thoughts of those here better qualified than me about VRFB potential in context of UPS.
Here’s to a blue Thursday.
