It doesn't matter to us what MB shares price is IMO - they won't be freely available to the market like usual shares dilutions are - which is why SP tends to gravitate towards right's issue price.
And also we are in the good scenario that any SP drop which would be usual with a shares issue, is more than counter balanced by the deeper involvement with MB. Although I expected something like this for months, and in a way I'm disappointed that it was done like this.... instead of Stroll&Co awarding some of their shares to MB - as that would have been a huge positive effect on SP. IMO.
Because that whole concept is incorrect.... MM's don't hold shares, they don't have budget to do that. They line up buyers and sellers. Without buyers, there can be no sellers, and vice versa.
Why is it 'a brave move' to top slice?
After a decent climb in SP there is only one thing that is guaranteed to happen; a drop.... just WHEN is the only question.
I did the same first thing this morning. Will re-buy at the bottom of the dip we're now heading in to...
Todays drop is nothing to do with not liking the Brazil news... regardless, this isn't really news, we knew this was happening.
I would say the drop today is due to those who were holding TILS until the XD date to ensure they got shares in Accustem - and given the uncertainty in the markets with cover lockdowns, have cashed in their TILS shares.
It's not a reaction though is it.... there will be many who always planned to sell today after receiving Accustem shares.
If there was a big rise into the demerger, then I would have expected a big fall afterwards. But as there hasn't been a big rise into demerger..... I'm far less convinced there will be.
I agree with that.... I don't buy Wolff's dismissal of the team effectively being sold to Ineos at all.
Lauda's shares I believe already went back to Mercedes - not to his family.
Indeed.... shows what scarcity of product does for sales! The same path that Stroll has been remodelling AML too.
Lamborghini just sold my 18 month old 10k miles car for 95% of what it cost me, because demand is outstripping supply.... that's (almost...) cheap motoring!
Massive relief here.
I was in here 6 months ago.... happily averaged up as SP soared. Then averaged down again as it dropped. Upshot being in way heavier than originally intended and well in the red. One RNS and all is blue again.
Lets doooo this ROCK!
I think the Ferrari veto is understandable.... there at least needs to be a break - not going directly from heading an F1 team to steering the direction of the whole sport.
Domenicalli although previously a Ferrari man, has demonstrated his impartiality - heading their supercar arch rivals Lamborghini for 4 years, to great success.
