This morning, RBC cut price target to 75p from 85p. With the generous assumption that any of us can rely upon such announcements :-) I can live with 75p.

At the AGM, smiley faces, positive message, not our fault, share price fell mid 70s to low 50s. Today, interim results we will have smiley faces, positive message, not our fault followed by possible dividend cut next year. I wonder whether we can really conclude that a base in the share price has already arrived.

What about the following scenario? - NAV fall announced in December, Dividend cut announced then or shortly thereafter - both of which have high probability to further reduce share price, after which share buy backs restart at the lower level,

Will be watching out for any power price forecasts and NAV updates. Management need to get a grip of the situation - does anybody else feel there's a considerable disconnect between what was presented and discussed at the AGM and since that date?.......................

A recommended takeover bid would likely need to be at or above 88p/share, implying a 25%+ premium to the current share price and no worse than a 5–10% discount to NAV. Anything less should probably be viewed as opportunistic and get rejected like Foresight’s initial? approach.

Hi John714, Hopefully the not so wacky theory from this private investor is that the cessation of share buybacks materially increases the potential for NESF to become a takeover or merger candidate. The buybacks seem to have failed to boost the share price and close the discount to NAV. It could also be to preserve cash, leaving the door open for external proposals rather than inflating the share price artificially, especially given its deep NAV discount, valuable assets (Strong underlying assets but poor market recognition), and recent board changes (Management change as a catalyst - open to strategic alternatives). I will continue to hold, benefit from the dividends and buy any dips to keep the breakeven below NAV.

I've held these shares for a long while. Purchase of own shares ceased on 1st May. Changes in directors. Significant discount to NAV continues. I believe developments are afoot.
