The classic falling knife – if it doesn’t give you a nasty slash, it will certainly stab you in the foot! Watching on the sidelines, for at least a month or so. ATB to those who make a little on the various, and obvious shakes, in both directions – I really can’t be bothered with “tossing coins” nowadays. PS I wish I had been short here, for a while, but margin trading is becoming a “mug’s game,” and I’m getting too old to watch a screen all day! Much better things to do ;)

Yes I agree. I totally disagree with QE as a solution. However the amount “money” that they are going to pump into the system over the next few months, this year, should definitely have a positive effect on shares like GFM. PS Are you a plasterer?

I remember a few years back, when this one very quickly rose to 70p and bounced around there for a while. Their NAV, and profit potential is now far larger than it was back then.

Griffin Mining's interim pre-tax profits fell to $15.0m in the six months to the end of June - down from $17.9m last time. But revenues rose to $39.7m from $33.9m and operating profits increased to $16.7m from $15.4m following record production of zinc, lead and silver in concentrate at the Caijiaying mine. The company says its pre-tax profits were hit by foreign exchange losses of $684,000 (2011 gains of $2,221,000) arising as a result of a stronger US dollar against both the Chinese renminbi and sterling in the period and interest payable on Chinese bank loans of $1,385,000 (2011 nil).
