There are two schools of thought re responding to de-rampers or mere idiotic bullies who get kicks from hurting people and who thrive on response.

On reflection from purely a personal view I would view the more 'superficially plausible de-ramper armed with worrying calcs as needing some form of response with obvious corrections (as per Hydro)to settle the mood for new investors peace of mind and keep the money in our coffers so to speak...

but as for the other small fry idiots who attempt to bully and troll no time of day at all...because they thrive on retaliation

Just my view. I do believe we all long termers or short termers can often learn from corrected calculations sometimes if not belaboured to the point of death
