Spin out of assets:
SolGold has appointed Citigroup Global Markets Inc. and Maxit Capital LP (“Maxit Capital”) to act as financial advisors to assist with exploring value creating alternatives for the Combined Group. The Strategic Review Process may include, but shall not be limited to, evaluating and pursuing the following:
evaluating financing alternatives for the Combined Group;
a spin-out of assets, other than the Cascabel Project, to all shareholders of the Combined Group;
How’s this for a link.
Mitsui has a finance partnership with Sumitomo Corporation. (I assume the same Mitsui organisation).

Atsuhiro Kuroda (Sumitomo, Japan) attended a Cascabel tour in 2018

Very interesting.
BHP recently had a metallurgical coal j/v with Mitsui.

Lots of unnecessary scaremongering IMHO.
Last year’s audited results stated the following:
“These factors [listed in the report] indicate the existence of material uncertainties which may cast significant doubt on the Group's and Company's ability to continue as a going concern.”
I remember when Solomon Gold had no chief executive, no money and a disappointing Solomon Islands Project. NM had to step in from his non-exec director position to lead the business. We had the glimmer of hope in South America emerging. The share price was less than approaching 1p and the doom mongers were rampant. Chief deramper at the time was Ericeric.
Thank goodness for the mantra “be greedy when others are fearful”
Great opportunity here IMHO
Good luck to the good people here
As the recent AFR article alludes, a fork in the road looms for BHP.
It’s either co-operate with funding proposals by Solg and take the dilution or reduced profit through streaming deals
Or
If you don’t like it, make a (sensible acceptable fair value) bid.
Quady- you’re an intelligent man. Surely you know a bid in the coming weeks is a very real possibility?
You can see it in the stars! (Or maybe you need a bigger telescope).
I think you do accept this really but are teasing us all.
Yes Bubble - a takeover is on the cards.
It seems the recent financing which fell through has highlighted the friction between the NM camp and the BHP/Newcrest camp.
Clearly BHP want financing through more shares for them and dilution for us, whereas NM wants the streaming route like the Franco deal.
The gloves are off. Offer fair price for the lot or risk the Franco type deal.
Us PI’s will be looked after as a consequence of NM’s handling from here. It’s got to happen before December AGM. certainly BHP are not going to do us any favours if they can get away with it.
Can’t see BHP wanting to lose this rare, valuable asset. I see a bid within 3 months. Fair value being your original £1.32 Bubble unless they go hostile.
All IMHO GLA
