JG, has the company used the word ‘distress’ in any RNS? I don’t recall it has but it has a large section on its website about contingency for distress. I feel you are in panic mode which is just how the shorters like it. You know as do I that when the market bashes a share down it’s always way overdone. Look at THG, DOCS both bashed & back up again. Need to relax & look away sometimes!

The current SP bears no semblance to what the company are actually stating to us. Poor sentiment & fear that is as far as I see anyway!

JG, They have stated ample liquidity & no maturities till 2027 which are covered by NASB funds so why are you talking dilution & going into administration?

Lara, I don’t recall seeing any RNS relating to progress on the Germany talks. Have I missed something?

The Germany situation is surely a ‘frustrated’ contract. In the UK there is specific legislation dealing with that type of situation. Bizarre why it is all taking so long to sort out.

According to the last published balance sheet the company had £244m cash in bank. They have since had a £300m cash injection from NASB. The debt level here has not risen. It has been fairly constant over recent years. The company also has a £600m revolving credit facility. The problem which is known is Germany. That is the elephant in the room. Resolution there will turn this around. But hey this is another Cineworld. All sell!

On the subject of the auditor. Well, those here long enough may recall last years results being delayed due to accounting issues. Those were resolved. If a huge accounting firm like Deloitte has left leaving a huge accounting hole then that is absolutely outrageous & surely against their industry rules!

Well said JG. As far as I’m concerned this share is either a big fraud ala Wood Group or the biggest bargain ever. The numbers don’t add up. The entire business is being valued @c£1.4bn including debt. One unit alone is making earnings near £200m. The company shelled out 90m for Canary Bus not long ago. They have had 300m from NASB on top of cash in bank. This is being driven down by fear. Only time will tell if this is going to go up in smoke!

Watch the video call for the FY. Helen Cowing explicitly stated that the hybrid is part of their longer term financing.

L L, they have stated many times they have no intention of paying off the hybrid.

RI. Yea right. They just sold a small bit of the business for £300m.
