£2m buy at 11.05!
Forgive if old news but friend just called to say moved from Sky as BT offered all its sport plus 11 sky sports and tv package for £39.99 including uhd 4K box !
Said new deal not yet publicised ?
News to me and gained a lifelong Sky customer
Is this common knowledge?
I’ve pinched this but here goes..
We now live in a country where those on a £1000 and hour have persuaded those on £12 an hour that those on £7 an hour are the real problem .
Sad but true
Derekr you won’t get support for your ideas on here as we all know it’s NOT down to BT but the regulator stripping BT of its investment money and handing it to self serving other operators.
Under EU law Labour would be unable to uphold its free broadband pledge.
Labour get in hold a referendum, remaIn wins and it’s a dead duck!
Anon you are completely wrong.
It’s not that BT isn’t working it’s because it’s being prevented from working!

I too believe the SP could benefit from the labour plan. Although making it free is ludicrous!
BT wouldn’t have to pay for the new infrastructure, the pension deficit would go along with 33000 staff wages etc. Plus it would get up to £20bn for Openreach.
Try and dig up but was mentioned last night Openreach current valuation between 12 and 22 billion
Talktalk diving today as labour plan to eliminate them hits home yet BT untouched ....lol
BT get £20bn
Doesn’t have to pay for investment in infrastructure
Eliminates pension deficit
Hive off 33000 staff and their wages etc
Eliminates competition
No longer responsible for maintenance or installation
Still owns backhaul network and sits back and take profit with now increased demand!
Oh, and while the giver is pumping billions into network still own FFTC and inherit competitors customers
Win win???
Some points...
So this should wipeout Talktalk overnight given its leeching business model and zero assets?
interesting the CWU has costed this.
Is it technically a buyout?
News reporting buying Openreach out could cost £20bn! More than current combined cost of whole company.
Compensation?
EE profits would remain plus still have to pay BT for network use
Eliminates pension deficit
Openreach is currently a millstone
33000 less on payroll?
Estimated £235m a year in maintenance costs is ridiculous.
More to come ...lol
We need a Revoke A50 boost!
Stop the madness!
Like the Italians needed a gun to their head to commit fraud :-))
If it is successful how much can we get ...lol
Well drop today was 'only, divi.
Not bad it normally goes lower.
I’ve given up caring and believe going lower could trigger a buyout or something that could reverse the trend.
Come on bojo give BT a handout to rollout BB
Given DB caused the recent drop are they though?
It’s a chicken and egg thing.
A day before divi cutoff and no takers does not bode well.
If we stay above 170 the tomorrow we’ll be lucky.
If DT think no deal will happen then they’ll wait for the resulting further crash in the pound.
Wtf has this country done to itself?
Hard to imagine but looking almost definite unless there’s a last minute push for divi this afternoon?
Wow! Imagine where we’d be if BT weren’t on track to meet targets or reducing staff, selling assets and less profitable divisions, had a high guaranteed divi and was the leader of the most important industry of today??
Oh wait....we are .....lol
