well that is the big question.........the asset the chinese government want to buy is the vast copper resource at Nimu; it has a significant value and regarded (independently) as a world class find but presently unmined. There are quite a few opinions on value (if a deal can be agreed) but this is an presently structured as an asset sell (rather than share deal); many investors are saying that any deal (which needs shareholder approval, so we have some control) should not let the Nimu go for less than 25-30p (equiv per share); some say higher but for sure when these shares are re-listed which I reckon in the next couple of weeks, even without a sale going through there will be a significant re-rating......gl dyor

guys.....the shares we suspended earlier in the week as they have received an approach for their main asset...suggest you do some more research! Look at the final results RNS posted below...that will give you a start; GGG like SKR trade on AIM in London and no it is not a bank holiday! lol

promises of course but the offeror (Sichuan Bureau of Metallurgy and Geological Exploration) is our JV partner. And for sure in the JV agreement their will be clauses dealing with valuation when one partner wants to buy other out. Copper prices are rising and we know Chinese need masses of it for infrastructure etc I guess that Jeff has received a low ball offer and will be negotiating that up. As the RNS says, it will require shareholder approval so if it proceeds it is not out of our control.

this is not an approach for the company but fo its interest in Nimu - so if it proceeds, it will be an asset sale (rather than a share sale) I would imagine. Nothing more to do than wait this out (been here for over a year and topped up on the lows so could be very rewarding)

re Barclays/Gerrard - not entirely sure but the increase holding could relate to shares held on behalf of private investors (rather than Barclays investing in GGG for their own account) . But either way (and with copper prices falling this week) GGG have outperformed - seen sp go up by 30% this week and volumes building; with recent RNS annoucement the easily accessible copper resource is now large enough to put GGG on the map, so patience here I think will be well rewarded; dyor

Beginning to look like a large resource when taken altogether......imo (been here 18 mths - and am med to long term - SIPP investment) good entry or top up price as sp still very much under the radar. dyor Jeff Malaihollo, Managing Director of Central China Goldfields plc, comments: "Following the discoveries at the Guqing, East Nading and Gelong porphyry centres, we have now identified a fourth mineralised centre called West Guqing. Drilling in 2008 clearly demonstrated that the East Nading and Gelong centres are continuous and we have now identifed further mineralisation in trenches between East Nading and Guqing, between Guqing and West Guqing and to the west of Gelong. With this new and significant discovery, the presence of mineralisation has now been identified along at least 2.5 kilometres and strengthens the likelihood that the total 5 kilometres corridor surrounding the central rhyodacite stock in Nading may be mineralised."
