The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode featuring Jeremy Skillington, CEO of Poolbeg Pharma has just been released. Listen here.
Well Mighty Mick wont do anything - Paul Johnson wont do anything nor will Metal Tiger. Fact is I am negotiating another gold production deal and I need a listed entity . I sold all my Thor shares at fair prices but always happy to try and rescue the company provided everyone is on board. Forget anything other than physical gold -its still $2450 oz and the AUD $ is collapsing -oil prices are collapsing -so very cheap to produce gold which if I am any judge will be AUD $3,000 oz soon. But try telling that to people in London glued to shares which are totally disconnected to the gold price in AUD$. Mivk stil babbling on about copper -give me strength.
Alf My comments about cooking with gas were in no way related to any share price movement. They related to the potential for Thor at Split Rock and Karlawinda. But as you will know and everyone else will know when you wake from your slumber in the UK the last thing on your mind will be Thor. Lock down mate - pure survival with a virus now advised ten times more lethal than the flu.
Alf old chap you need to expand your thinking -be faster on your feet and not worry about campfires if you have left the campsite. I don't give a rats about Thor - you wont be worrying about Thor or anything so trivial when the Covid19 hits the UK and Australia. All I am worried about right now is staying alive -if we can fly to a Broome beach resort because the virus according to the experts does not like sunshine -temperature or humidity. So drinking gin and tonics in 40 degree heat ! Its serious -we will be in lockdown like Italy within weeks .
I dumped all my stock at higher prices and the rest today. Cash is king - redirect into sound ASX companies who are focussed on gold -fantastic bargains out there with switched on managements. Waste of time talking to Thor -management and major shareholders are paralysed - sitting there like a kangaroos in the headlights . Better things to do with my time and money . It wont end well - the next placing if the company survives about 1 p -if they are lucky.
I have made various proposals to Thor management -bold moves to leverage the excitement with De Grey in the Pilbara which has rocketed -- but alas no response. https://degreymining.com.au/ Huge things are happening - there is no gloom and doom if you are part of the action with what is shaping up with De Grey and every other player in the Mallina Basin. Plus the excitement at Karlawinda.
But Thor management - and everyone including MTR and Paul Johnson have gone into hiding - lets see how they intend to keep the lights on ! Last of my worries -I only back winners and lots of them like CMM -SPX - OKU - AAR -DEG and many others- And watch platinum - about to go ballistic.
Alfy old boy I am gearing up again for gold production and I am a pegger ! Share trading is only a small part of my modus operandi. Companies /individuals are dropping some highly prospective gold ground in the Pilbara -picking up more acreage early next week. Don't forget gold is still about AUD $2450 oz -with production costs less than $1,000 oz its got a long way to go before we will be concerned. Noone listens in the UK -all focussed on trading -the real money is in acquiring tenements and vending into listed companies.
Trumpy We are all pretty excited but parts per million not parts per billion represents grams /tonne.
Having said that a good measure of the potential of COBR is Alliance Resources with the Weednana gold project near Wudinna . Roughly the same size resource /grades -the same number of shares -the same geological settings -with a market cap of about AUD $18 million versus Cobra about AUD $6 million. Accordingly Cobra should be trading about 6p .
We are starting to cook with gas ! Thor are keen on the Split Rock project in the Pilbara -gold and potentially nickel and Karlawinda is in the frame. Check out Capricorn Metals -a market cap now of almost $500 million. Anyone with ground adjacent in the wide east west strain zone -part of a larger regional shear is potentially sitting on very valuable ground. Gold is roughly AUD $ 2500 oz - more than twice the average AISC .
As soon as Wudinna cam across our desk I said that's the project for Cobra. It takes time but from now on it should deliver. The best way to get a handle on the market cap is to look at Alliance Resources it's neighbour in the Gawler Craton just to the east. Basically the same number of shares on issue -a similar size resource with high grades which is trading at 12 c -roughly 6p. If we can get some nice numbers in drilling and given the bull market in gold the future looks bright -but do your own research.
The news catalyst could come from encouraging nickel exploration results at Split Rock with historical research showing gossans in several places along a significant ultramafic structure almost the entire length of the tenement which has only ever had several samples taken . Add that to the recent nickel results in stream sediments and we could be looking at a potential new nickel sulphide province.
Thor has iron ore acreage adjacent RIO - FMG and Atlas at Western Shaw but no RNS - it can acquire 60% + Fe on a significant hematite outcrop on its Panorama tenement where gold has been discovered -and then there is Karlawinda. Aussie gold stocks on the move and iron ore literally booming -but Thor still crying wolf about tungsten.
a1m Very upset aren't you because your constant pumping of THR did not work . Thor did a deal with my company on Western Shaw - a three month option for $50,000 in stock -long before we sold PGL and HML to the company. So a lot of meaningful discussion over a long time hey ! Be patient now and wait for the Panorama assay results and after that watch Karlawinda area developments .
Every time you say something it becomes even more incomprehensible - I am not and have never been on the payroll of Thor -the definition of an employee -- but I damn well will as a shareholder hold them to account. Thor have already -after six months and considerable pressure started work on Panorama and lo and behold they have a gold discovery. One down and several more to go - Karlawinda will be progressed one way or the other - tenement expenditures are mandatory or you lose the ground. But really how ridiculous will the company look once CMM start producing gold and the market realises the potential of Thor ground immediately abutting. And you -hang around mate and better luck with your promotion next time lol.
Thanks DCGC The gold price is fantastic notwithstanding the circumstances behind its rise are much cause for concern. I like many hope and pray we are not about to witness a lot of death and destruction.
Having said that now is the time for Thor to dispense with the tungsten and copper promotion -put those projects on care and maintenance and focus on gold and the company's iron ore potential -another very strong commodity. If they don't no sweat -we are flat out here -it is going to be up the current major shareholders to make change - but how nice it would be if all the long suffering shareholders of the company were to know they were on a winner again with realistic projects like Karlawinda in an entirely new gold province.
a1mIinvestor. You are a funny man - ex employee of Micks -what an imagination you have old chap. I have worked for myself for 60 years ! Recent listing in your neck of the woods RGM and RRR in 2005 - instrumental in setting up and listing Cobra Resources plc recently of which I was Non Executive Chairman before handing over to the young turks . My partners in three private companies several of which were vendored into THR are Paul Johnson and about ten investors most of whom active in a lot of AIM and LSE companies of which I am involved. Vendor to MNRG - vendor to at least 25 listed public companies on ASX -AIM and LSE . I introduced George Merhi to Mick Billing to do a helicopter assist program at Panorama -and we found gold. We now await the assays to be announced by THR. George Merhi and I have now pegged large acreages at Karlawinda and Prairie Downs. I am here to keep you honest -I work 16 hrs a day at 82 years of age - AND I want to see THR go forward embracing gold -today USD$ 1572 oz a fantastic AUD $ price of about $2300. Anything else you would like to know ?
Quindell Well said mate - we live in a world that needs instant gratification. Having said that trying to develop projects and produce iron ore -gold is in my DNA. As for Bell -could not run a chook raffle - always playing catch up as he is doing now with RRR . Cobalt in the DRC of all places - and gold in Kenya :-) Cheers
Trojan You are completely missing the point . Novo have a market cap just on $700 million and have not yet produced a single oz of gold. I presume you like everyone else at the end of the day are in the stock market to make money not for altruistic reasons. Thor has an opportunity to be another Novo if people listen to me - Watch Cobra -I was instrumental in the Wudinna deal . Watch CMM at Karlawinda and the fireworks there the next few months - Watch the Panorama project - What will drive share prices is nothing like you imagine-
