HI Task i dont know that about Core........... but they dont charge commission on their CFD's which includes all their indices and commodities... That could be a real bonus...........
Ive just done a live trade on my real City index Acc on the Gbp Usd and my FCI demo. I pressed the button almost identically and got out of FCI demo with a profit but lost 15 pips on my City index and similar story on a gold trade that FCI can go when there is volatility...
Oanda ive just got rid of it as i had too many demo acc but they are nothing special from what i recall ,problem is most demos come with USD currency so its hard to get accurate comparisons. I am waiting for an email back about FCI to see if i open a live Ac and would they put me on their fast sever, as its 13.58 ms..
GL with work.......... I have nothing in the pipeline and cant see anything coming to be honest.

Hi Task its all getting a bit confusing on the platform front.. Ive opened a MT4 demo with Core spreads and to my surprise they are charging commission as well......... Its not super fast and not massively obvious about the commission until you add it to your account history in the terminal.. ( that probably the reason the spreads stay fixed )

Now also FCI has slowed down from super fast to just normal speed!! . So I am at at loss to know what to think ... the only difference i can see now is that FCI will let you trade indices from 10 pip to infinity but Core its from a £1 a pip.

I like to start of small sometimes on Indices so the from 10 a pip could be a bonus. Ill give FCI a ring later this week and get more info about server speeds

Hi Task yes it's very enticing i was on a trade this morning and got £20 whilst my other reall account was £10 in loss so that's, £30 difference but you need to be fast

And the server on real account is even faster.....Also I ran a position over night and a tiny minuscule swap so that's a bonus.... I want to try it out on major news events like NFP and FOMC ect

HI Task yes i will let you know about Core when i get it up and running i expect ill go the demo route first and ill use MT4 so platforms dont bother me Ill get onto it this week.
The FCI demo is astonishinly fast so fast you can hardly see the prices changing. Its almost like looking at a different pair you get that micro second where you could jump out on a profit, whilst your ordinary broker account looks like its stopped and still showing a losing position.
I dont like the fixed fees though you pay win or loose so i dont think its for me not with my current skill level any way.

Those trackers can all be traded as CFDs on most platforms IG S/B do them its a less risky way of trading indices as they move slower. you cant just trade them from £1 a point. ive done it a few times............ Yes i stilll have RR

Tough luck Task........... i got stung on a AU short.......... took it on the 50 fib and well above R3 plus ahuge dojie on the 4 hr and was in profit for a while but it turned around and shot back up to the 618.

Hi Task, only just got on charts bit i am surprised to see the Dow so high . Looks like the 20 and 50 dma couldn't hold it we have a 80 dma trying to cap it.. I guess you are out by now any way. it seems the prob these days is covid news events mess with the Techs............... Good luck with your further trades............. I took a look at the Jason Greystone Video and yes it excellent a really good watch.. I saw Plus 500 and IG got a good hiding and yes Core spreads is the way to go. ill open up with them

Im taking a look at your Dow short. The last three bullish candles have been very weak , so very little conviction.

Its about to hit a double top on the 4 hr and some resistance, i think that is where it could tun or before . Its also under all significant DMA 's the 20 could hold it or the Kijun sen might cap it plus you have a nice simple daily bear flag ready for a short. All in all you should be Ok Task

Hi Task yes its defiantly on MT4 but you have to add it to your window . You go into terminal click on the Trade tab then right click in the terminal window and a menu pops up tick the commission word then it pops up between Price and Swaps. ...........Then you go into account history and it shows any commissions in there...
I think a lot of people would be surprised to find they might be paying a bit and don't even know as its sometimes difficult to calculate positions costs on certain exotic pairs. Now i have added it to all my accounts and demos just to be sure....
Ive withdrew all my funds from IG as the last straw for me and on more than one occasion of not getting wins filled and a flag popping up saying do i really want to close that position. Then by the time they close it its back into a losing position a but of course if it even gets near your stop they reach out and grab it. ( this isnt sour grapes as it doesn't happen on City Index accounts)

A nice up tick on my Duke shares 25% up on the day about time.... Easy Jet a tad up today ........but on the whole my P/F is still a sea of red

Not so much about fci its more about your ECN experience . On the demo i couldn't figure out why the figures were not adding up in the profit and loss section on MT4 . They told me i needed to add the commission window to the platform . once i had done this i could see what was going on.
I ve never had a broker that adds commission win or lose.
I can see its incredibly fast and ahead of of my other platform's but it looks like its main benefit is for intra day / scalp trading but has no benefit for longer term trading, would you agree? Plus any other thoughts on commission brokers or questions i should ask before i commit to a live account?

Ok made a decision on a purchase and gone buffet style buying good companies cheap....so I've bought more Rolls Royce.... air travel will come back in the meantime RR have a healthy relationship with the government re nuclear defense..... nuke powered subs

Hi guys there are a good few suggestions there . I haven't made any decision yet as what to buy . Although i do already have a basket of lloyds which are currently going very mouldy in the back of a cupboard.
