Gaynelly, thanks for the flight radar link
Mike, good spot re the transit passengers
Hopefully we'll get an update next week so we can get a better idea of how the numbers are looking.
That's where I got them from too threeputt, not aware of any other site that would corroborate those numbers.
Absolutely MTP - hard to believe that SL is suddenly experiencing a large net immigration, so it’s a fair bet that they are similar numbers.
Mike the site only shows arrivals these days, but on the assumption there isn’t mass immigration into SL, probably a reasonable approximation for departing PAX too.
I'm surprised Vander hasn't commented on Lunghi numbers lately. An average of 480 per day over the last 15 days. So, using his calculation of 193/day being a third of normal, 480/day is now back up to 83% of normal. I just can't think why he hasn't mentioned it.
You could be right Ian. Now wouldn’t that be nice!!
Also, whilst there is clearly some way to go still, the potential to resurrect the Iran deal looks a little more promising

I doubt it Daft, I'd say he/she also knows what we all already know. There's a stonking 5 airport MSC lined up to be signed :-)
And the week before was an average of 328 / day.
Has the class ex-holders on here lack

By doing a bit of research
Why would now be a good time? They are only just starting to talk and you’re expecting him to make a decision based on that? Are you mad?
Yep, they’ve all gone quiet for over 24 hours now. Sure sign.
That’s the link on WSG website - I managed to pull up the pdf okay after logging back in yesterday

Mike, a further point of interest re the article mentioning two border crossing which you posted in response to my Uganda suggestion. When I replied back to your post noting that there was
a 2* border crossing tech contract in Africa in the 3 Dec RNS, I hadn't realised that the Arden note had similarly indicated that it was also at an advanced stage. So we have two contracts at an advanced stage, a 5* airport MSC and a 2* border crossing tech contract, and we've identified strong candidates for both locations, both in the same neck of the woods. Co-incidence?
Also ,when browsing the Arden note earlier, the following paragraph in the Tendering and Contracting section also stood out for me: -
" In many cases, Westminster Group may already be known to the potential customers through another working relationship or reputation, whether directly or indirectly. This has tended to be the case with the two large managed services contracts that have been secured in Ghana and Sierra Leone"
That certainly backs up my observation of the link up with AKSA at Tema. Interesting that they state that such relationships are also important with 'the potential customers'.
Whilst you are correct that PF should be getting his invite around about now, TB was 70 last July, so he could easily have already had his first jab several weeks ago. But as Mike states, they aren't pre-requisites for travel yet (although I wouldn't blame them for not travelling without a jab at their ages). Plus, it doesn't have to be one of them travelling anyway, SF for example, could just as easily travel and sign a contract.
No problem Misty, makes no difference to me. First thing I knew about it was waking up bleary eyed to a DM from Benno around 7.30am on 3 Dec.
No I didn't Misty.
1. Why do assume that they have yet to start discussions? Maybe they have already had them and are now just fine tuning / lawyering the contract to get it ready for signature? It was after all at an 'advanced' stage back at the start of December.
2. There isn't a ban on international flights. There are still plenty of international flights in and out of Heathrow on a daily basis.
