EOG’s reply to a private investor last week…

“We are dealing with both the EG government and the federal government of the Shangdong province to secure the necessary approvals to complete the farm out. It would not be appropriate for EOG to provide details of the ongoing approval discussions as to do so would jeopardise the relationships we have developed with these organisations.

“As we are dealing with government bodies it is hard to accurately estimate timelines and we have no ability to influence the turnaround times. Needless to say, we are working hard on all fronts to complete the farm out and progress the drilling of the Barracuda well and we will update the market as soon as there is news to share.

A recent post on Telegram is a reply from EOG about the delay. EOG say there are ongoing discussions and it wouldn’t be appropriate to say anymore at the moment.

I think the recent broker note release was code for “don’t fret” … but I do fret.

Some large sells this morning haven’t stopped the price from rising - there must be some chunky buy orders in the background

But 3p then is like 2.25p now post dilution 😳

Odd how a country can issue a fairly short extension to a licence and then take an age issuing approvals on that licence …

… and some big sells.

Looks like Will didn’t manage to screen out all of the flippers from the recent placing & WRAP.

The Chinese will be keen to get on with EG08. My guess is that it’s the EG ministry dragging their feet a little.
