An historic customer would not go to the bother of petitioning for a bankruptsy of a subsidiary, at their own cost, if they were not thinking there was a very high prospect of a settlement from the debtor in favour of their creditor claim. They think (as the share holders/buyers of Vast do) that Vast has money, are making money and so will paying the claiment out.
