If you wish to claim confidentiality for part of the application, the process you outline is correct. You will need to provide detailed justification as to why the information is confidential, as well as re-submitting part F of the form and the updated/correct fuel specifications. There is no specific form/format for your justification of confidentiality. Our assessment of a confidentiality claim will add to the determination time.
Please note the following standard text on our tests of a confidentiality claim, which is taken from our letter issued to applicants, if they have not provided sufficient justification/reasoning for their claim:
You may find it useful to understand the tests we will apply to the information you provide. These tests are:
a. We will not exclude information from the public register if it relates to emissions; and
b. We will only exclude information from the public register if we consider that—
(i) the information is commercial or industrial information,
(ii) its confidentiality is provided by law to protect a legitimate economic interest, and
(iii) in all the circumstances, the public interest in maintaining the confidentiality of the information outweighs the public interest in including it on the register.
