Isomer I'm not sure what point you are trying to make here? You seem to be getting into a flap over something that if you lok at the evidence doesn't add up. In fact it strikes me that even if EUA were to issue a daily RNS confirming DS hasnt sold any since the previous update, you would still say "that's proves he didn't sell yesterday, but what about TODAY???" If you are that nervous about your exposure you need constant reassurance that something isn't happening, I'd seriously consider reducing your exposure and leaving everyone else to manage theirs (DS included).

Look the last single investor that offloaded to any large degree was Anders and his 7-8m odd for a house purchase, and even though he sold in many many chunks usually no higher than 250k at a time, IT WAS STILL NOTICED and "big seller?" was commented on as it happened!

DS trying to offload his 450m+ shares when daily volumes are as low as they are? Not a chance.

And that's not even taking declarations into account when he crosses thresholds, as required by the rules.

Lack of direct evidence to prove something you've just thought of is or isnt happening, is not in itself proof it might be, it's proof the question isn't a particularly good one. There is no evidence whatsoever to suggest a massive seller, please take that at face value as we all do.

Have to say I wasn't expecting very much from the interim as its usually fairly bland stuff, rehashing news already announced and numbers that no one was expecting to reflect expansion work as the cut off was thee months ago.

But those two lines about further interest and putting us amongst the majors really stood out. Think it may have been a long overdue swipe at the market makers but made for pleasant reading and hope they get the message.

Formations wrong, we don't have the midfield to cope with 3 up front. They switch off too often and get overrun too easily. Expect nuno to sort this out but a pretty tough watch atm.

Agreed its a great post, but a bit premature.

We're not in the £s yet, and won't get there from 24p off the back of yesterday's rns either. The Bod still have their double vision of expand the company and sell the company on the go. A quick trawl through the BB will still show a range of guesses between 50p and £6.50+ and despite having one proposal being worked on since May we're still none the wiser as to what is in the frame to be sold, or when. So at the very least one could argue setting and managing shareholder/ market expectations is one area they could have done better.

Your optimism is great, and it is an exciting time, but for someone invested here (and I'd guess in shares generally) for 17 years I'd have thought you'd know not to count chickens, or very least be wary of hype?

The back slapping on a deal well done isn't due until we actually see what deal gets slapped on deck.

Don't get me wrong I am optimistic myself but I much prefer to make performance judgements once I know what the end game is. So a few weeks yet (hopefully!)

Les no worries, it is slightly more complicated with EUA as you need to separate in your mind who owns the mining license, from who owns the company that owns the license.

So when we talk about "selling Mt" it's actually "selling our stake in the company that has the Mt license" which is nowhere near as snappy, but more reflective!

Tbh I'm not looking forward to Sunday, your lads have started scoring and we're conceding in spades now, so not a good combo! Should be a good game though, doesn't sound like a nil nil defensive masterclass is on the cards!

So the way I understand it is that, for example MT, the mining license is held fully by the Terskaya Mining Company, a privately owned company.

EUA own 80% of this Mining Co. 20% is owned elsewhere by other parties.

Our 80% ownership is housed within Zao Terskaya our own subsidiary sitting in our company structure, parent company at the top.

Our EUA shares relate to the parent company, so all beneficial interests the company has (sitting in its subsidiaries) we benefit from as well.

If and when we sell our interests we will be selling some or all of that 80% in Terskaya Mining Company. If all of it, our Zao Terskaya subsidiary will have nothing owned but a wodge of cash as consideration, which I assume it will pay to the parent company to allow EUA to keep or liquidate it as they see fit.

The mining license itself will not be moving (I don't imagine) just a change in the ownership of the mining company that has it.

Same goes for other subsidiaries and the interests they hold in other mines/ mining companies. The dividend we get, will come from the cash our subsidiaries receive for the stakes they own.

Firstly if it took off to £1 I think most people would say it wasnt the announcement we want (only £1??)

Secondly if you know what announcement we are waiting on, you would understand the options aren't quite those you list. They are more binary: sell at rerate price or hold for dividend, then stick with the company post divi, or move on totally.

It will depend on what is announced, how much is going, for what and what remains/are the go forward plans.

When it comes though, there will be no chance of debating/posting on lse though it will have crashed!!

Ethio agreed the Bod must have had good reason to go for this placing, to fund something specific.

Key now is that they translate the money they are sitting on into tangible postives. Seems strange that with all the effort that went into the EGM in april, two months before the agm, they effectively still haven't used much/any of the money raised then and it's September!

So go on a spending spree: get licenses, equipment, assessments etc done, published and announced to fanfare. The list of possible news items due around now has been published several times today.

No excuses, let's get on with it.

I'm very much of the opinion that the EGM when called will only cover the asset sale, and the only figures we will see relate to the sale price. They will need to produce an "investment strategy" as part of Rule 15 which I expect will reference a divi as part of that, but no specifics at that time.

So for me it will be sale circular/sale price first, then meeting and vote 2 weeks later, then another week or so to allow cash to arrive before dividend amount and associated dates (ex div, record etc) are communicated.

You will need to allow some more time after the ex div/record date for money to actually be received by your share nominee company (HL) and for them to split it out amongst holders and put it into your account. Best check with them how long they think that will take, but I'd give it a week unless anyone has direct experience?

So what's that, 5/6 weeks from circular and notice of meeting to receipt of divi. Assuming no hiccups and counter bids.
