The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode featuring financial educator and author Jared Dillian has been released. Listen here.
GIT, I've just been informed that Mondays eye procedure has been postponed until further notice and now I see the Wres SP has dropped a bit, not a good end to the week all in all. On the bright side, it might not snow down where I am, oh what joy in such small crumbs of comfort?
I have just been over to the ITM board and was amazed to see the data flashing as the trades piled through, something I have never seen while watching the Wres board. Mind you, our one trade might explode into double figures by the end of the day with luck?
I do hope so, I need my kitchen sink back!
Tonlin, as I mentioned earlier, just carrying out my DIY Bed & ISA has cost me around a grand, it's dead easy to lose money when your good at it like I am..
If, many years ago now, I'd have taken the profit from my first ever trade (Mowat), I might have got the profit bug, but......it didn't end well, lesson learned......erh, no.
GUG, that would be the smart play, I ain't smart, unfortunately.
You were right GIT, no recompense from HSBC, therefore, unfortunately, Wres will have to drop quite a bit before I can afford to re-buy my 1m shortfall, and I can't see that happening, daft innit?
Blinkin' heck GIT, just bought back in to my ISA but i missed that brief dip and have 1m shares less than i did. HSBC are a pain not doing Bed & ISA transactions over the phone, i wonder if i can get compo?
GIT, it's just a day case, usually under a local anaesthetic. You can elect to have a general which would involve an overnight stay, but I'm way too manly to do that, plus I've had enough hospital for the time being. Might have to get home on the bus though!!
Good afternoon GIT, I was hoping to get my entire holding into my ISA but only managed a majority. The SP has popped up again so I might be unlucky with my timing re. buying my 16m back?
By the way, almost feeling better, just in time for eye op on the 11th. if it isn't postponed in the mean time?
Good morning all. Although the 16m trade at 10:15 is showing as a buy, it was actually me selling as the first leg of a bed & ISA. HSBC are still unwilling to perform manual bed & ISA transactions over the telephone so I'm having to do it myself. Once funds have been received in a couple of days, there will be a 16m buy going through, I just hope the SP keeps settled so I don't lose out too much!
"HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU ALL" As GIT will testify, I didn't have a good end to 2020 health wise, the good old NHS provided a sting in the tail yesterday when I received a phone call asking if I could attend the hospital on the 5th Jan. for a Colonoscopy. Important as this is, I got them to defer it until February!!
Assuming there's anything of me left, I'm hoping Wres will provide a ray of sunshine as the year progresses, what with Regua to come on stream, and the possibility of Sao Martinho becoming resolved. Plus, if the huge task of vaccinating the millions of people who require it can be achieved without interference from political and criminal activity, then the world just might become sane again? HERE'S TO 2021.
Now home, and there were my vaccination tickets in the post but no date for jab as yet, it's all coming in one big heap!
GIT, it never rains etc, but just had text from hospital advising me I'm booked in for eye surgery on 11th January and I'm not even out as yet, best stay in for a couple of weeks I say!
Good morning GIT, will be home later today thanks, still not 100% but then again I rarely am. Mind you, if I keep on looking at how much my 20p tip ITM keeps rising, it does make me feel a little sick. One day I tell myself, one day!
GIT, thank you and a "Merry Christmas" to you and yours. Now all turkeyed and hatted up plus feeling a lot better. Monday should see me home with luck. Have a good day, don't fall asleep in the pudding and we'll carry on regardless from here on! Now, bring on 2021...
Quite true Safety, and to make matters worse, by the following Christmas, I was loose on the roads in my Mk1 Cortina, not even a scratch on getting home...somehow?
While laying here, my mind has drifted back to my first working Christmas Eve in 1972, aged 16. A stroll to the designated boozer and on returning a couple of hours later, our workshop should have been declared a danger zone. Come 5:00, it was astride me kerb rocket for a wonky three mile ride home, utterly brilliant day!!
Tell yer what GIT, I wouldn't want to be out of this over the festive season!!
Good morning and thank you all for your kind wishes.
2cv, thank you, I'll be out when they run out of stuff to pump into me! As for figures, the RNS's have become a touch cuter in their wording, expressing progress without too much detail until they're ready to release the figures in January. Therefore, we are left to speculate whether ore is stockpiled ready for refining, processed ore is bagged ready for shipment early in January as requested by the customer who knows? What we do know, is that production will carry on regardless, building up those luvverly sacks of tin & tung. Bring on Regua I say!
