Morning MR T..
I did have a look, but I really donāt think charts work with Val ā¦. Good news and we would be looking down at MR Zās prediction ā¦
If we get bad new we would be looking up at his predictionā¦.
Ells banged on about charts and so did Iceā¦
I actually purchased a Chrystal ball from an antiques shop for a couple of quidā¦. Workās about as good as any charts where āValā is concernedā¦
Not saying they donāt work elsewhere just not Val ..IMO..
OB
Absolutely right RB ā¦and I can concur with your first sentence 100%..
Rb, you are a scaffolder by trade and I am a wood butcher, when you have a new lad start to work with you due to experience in your line of work, within a very short period of time you know if he is going to make it or notā¦correct?

Harvey
A sobering thought for everyone invested here right now āSUEā my foster sister has terminal cancer, and is currently debating if she should push herself to undergo a much stronger course of chemotherapyā¦.or just accept the fact that the grim reaper wants to hold her hand and lead her to āanother placeāā¦
Like I have said many times, itās not all about the money, i know āSUEā could not give a flying fook about money right now..
What would I do if I was on the board and able to make a difference? ā¦.right now in my frame of mind, I would kick some serious AR5E!
OB
Evening Harvey,
How are things going up t north?
I am having very similar āfamily problemsā down here ATMā¦ so kinda feel your pain on two very different facets of life ..
Keep your chin up my old dear š
OB
Evening Nom..
Crumbs chap, you are most definitely a āglass half emptyā kind of guyā¦
Anyway I take my helicopter everywhere šā¦
Like I said, visit early in the season or late in the season, less fires less tourists, and every thing is a little cheaper..
OB
Our first visit was not our best visit (august) the mrs booked the hotel and I was less than impressed with the accommodation, (typically Greek) however after a few days I got into the vibe, and once you chill out itās fantastic.. great place if you have little kids, but teenagers would get bored, itās not livelyā¦thankfully. Itās an older personās destination..
Hi sooty
Itās the weekend so hopefully nobody will get the hump about us talking holidays..
Limenaria is a good base, if you like to be by the sea, the beach is not the best on the island though, plenty of restaurants, a few shops, a fishing tackle shop (she doesnāt speak English though) ā¦
Thassos town could also be a good choiceā¦
We like to stay in the mountains in a rented house, away from the tourists just mainly Greeks, I would tell you where but it would be just my luck to try and book it to find sooty & sweep have beaten us to it š
We prefer to go very early in the season or very late, avoid august IMO..
Rent a car for your stay, and perhaps negotiate a 4x4 for a couple of days so you can drive up the highest mountain on the island, itās a must Imo
Eating out is very cheap ā¬50 - ā¬60 for 2 (much cheaper if you know where the good places are) for a full feed and enough wine and ouzo to make you stagger back to your hotelā¦.. you can pay far more if you donāt do a bit or research, all the food on the island is goodā¦
We met a lovely retired English couple who live on the island, we all went out to their favourite restaurant, we were eating and drinking for 5 hours, I wonāt tell you how much local wine we drank between us but it was a lot..
The bill arrived, and the wife of the couple we were dining with, slapped her hand over the bill and said how much?ā¦. I pondered and added it up in my head, and said ā¬200 easy, we have had so much and all good home cooked foodā¦
ā¬85 euros was the bill..
Car hire worked out at about Ā£20 per day for 12 days inc āFULLā insurance! Double this for a 4x4ā¦ most of the hire cars on the island are old bangers but who cares..
The island is extremely safe, very friendly people, I have never seen any louts ever, but itās not a posh Island..
Itās a very green and lush island.. and apparently the most revisited Greek islandā¦
As soon as we can make it happen we want to move thereā¦ I am reasonably well traveled and always said the world is a big place so whatās the point on revisiting the same placesā¦. That was until we found Thassos..
Iām feeling bl00dy home sick nowā¦
If you do go let me know what you think?
OB
Hi Webbo
Thanks for your informative post, unfortunately we love thassos in Greece, we have friends on the island ā¦ so itās where we really want to beā¦ however the world is a big place, so itās worth thinking of alternatives š
Hi Badsterman
I voted for brexit, so I sort of scuppered my own plans, however I have very
Strong principlesā¦ so our plan to rent our house out and live in Greece cheaply due to the 90day rule is not happeningā¦atm
We could go the golden visa routeā¦ but would mean selling our uk homeā¦
We donāt want to sell our UK home, so we could do with a boost in our investmentsā¦ VAL is not our only investment, š
ob
MR āPā you have indicated you wonāt be posting until THE āplacing ā
Is this a pinky promise ? Or a hollow threat šā¦. Please donāt answer that š
Take care MR āPā ā¦tight lines and all that..
OB
I am by my own admission just a simple carpenter who has invested a few quid in a company who I actually believe inā¦ maybe I have Fooked up, maybe not?
Mr āPā you are pushing the boundaries of a normal investor, imho..
Yes, we have the ramping crew, worried about their investment, we have the pumpers and dumpersā¦ but you are very different, and I canāt quite put my finger on itš¤
I simply thought you were just de-ramping to get a better entry (Not my style but I get it).. but I am starting to think perhaps itās a bit darker than that?
I hope I am wrong..
