Firering Strategic Minerals: From explorer to producer. Watch the video here.
Haha if only fella, mines showed up on Isdx after them 2
I did say I'd be having more by the weekend :)
Very healthy, let's see what tomorrow brings, some volume would be good. Keep an eye out on nex nice wee buy at 12.00
Is a very realistic possibility as not only is that sector thriving, cloud based systems are much more secure thus cutting costs of hiring expensive ethical hackers or penetration testers to keep the physical servers secure. I've looked into costings myself and 2bh it's extremely competitive when compared to the competitors and has a couple extra bells and whistles most notibly the tie in with jumio who do biometric verification processes.
Very optimistic James,a blue day would be most welcome, along with the update.
I'd like to be proven wrong, I have read lots of projections of how much is there, however seldom do you see the relative extraction costs highlighted. STG/PRIM RNS's painted a picture of hope, just an expense one,the same as you lot are getting here now. Same picture, different share
Won't happen. Sorry what I mean is I waited 4/5 years for STG to do something with it and it never happened, we even bought a mining plant the works. Fingers crossed for you guys but the amount of work that needs doing is mammoth, as are the costs. SRK are industry leaders but don't come cheap, plus you have the locals to contend with. I wasn't unhappy when it got shifted it on to you guys, and that's coming to someone that bought into stellar precisely for the gold. Hopefully Alba gets further than the 2 shares mentioned.
Tas your news is old
StreamTV has also dropped the UltraD brand (too much confusion with the UltraHD Alliance and 4K) and will now focus on the SeeCubic brand name of their technology.
Oops
StreamTV has been developing its technology for eight years and always seems to be getting ready for volume manufacture. We were told the same story again this year. They realize that they can’t reach their goal so have recently done some changes in the company. The Eindhoven team called SeeCubic, was working on their processing ASIC design, but this has now been assigned to a new more specialized team working in Silicon Valley. The SeeCubic team will return to their roots in new technology development, now headed by Bud Robertson. This team has designed some new optics for their panels to improve performance.
In TVs, StreamTV is working with BOE as the panel supplier. BOE has a 16M pixel 8K panel that Stream call “8K Lite.” What that means is that the panel uses sub-pixel rendering to achieve an 8K image. Some do not believe such rendering should be called 8K, so the “lite” monitor is used. Reportedly, BOE is also working on a more conventional RGB stripe 33M pixel 8K panel as well as a 16K panel. More pixels clearly helps with glasses-free 3D.
However, the sub-pixel rendering does add some new options for creating the multiple stereo views needed for the display, which the new optics seem to capitalize on. The result is that the 8K Lite panel can deliver 1080p resolution images with the extra pixels devoted to providing more depth.
As with all glasses-free 3D displays of this type, the processor must create multiple stereoscopic views that are viewed only from certain angles. In an auto-stereoscopic display, these angular 3D views are all displayed at once so that multiple people can see a 3D image. This angular control is provided by the lens assembly that sits above the panel. But creating all these views with a limited set of pixels reduces the resolution per view. And, the limited number of views need to be packed tightly together to form as smooth an image as possible with small head movements. To fill the full 180-degree FOV of the display, these limited views get repeated. And, the display must be optimized for a specific range of viewing distances.
On display was a 65” version of this implementation. Once you're in the sweet spot, the 3D can be quite good with small head movements not producing any discomfort. Larger head movements are not as good with a “swimming” kind of feel to the image quality.
As for production, the new design team estimates the new FPGA (not an ASIC until volumes are established) will be ready in Q3 or Q4’19. That means small volumes of the TV could ship by the end of the year. The decision to create an ASIC will be made at the end of 2019 potentially enabling lower cost solutions for 2020.
At a press conference in November, BOE and Stream TV announced their partnership and launched the first product, a 65" 8K "Lite" television. The new 27" PC monitor is the second product under the new partnership, with more in development.

This same ASIC, which is used to convert any 2D or stereo-3D video
For those interested, Stream TV have dropped the ultra D program and are now concentrating on the partnership with Seecubic. Things seem to be progressing nicely with this from what I can tell.
Your welcome AJ
Here you go AJ.
Hi Paul,
Thanks for your email.
Not sure if you have read the Quarterly reports or other company news/website etc but I would suggest if you have time please do. With respect to your questions; no the bedding phase of investments didnt end years ago at all....we have only been active as Primorus for a few years (not 5 or 6) and we have to both make investments, go through the growth phase and then exit. To be clear we are not a trading/punt fund, we are an investment company.
A good example of this was our HHDL investment (private) that we exited in December for a £1m gross profit....about 1/3 of our total market capitalisation. Is this not progress?
Pleasingly many of our newer investments are well into the growth phase and we are now looking to exit a few of them. The LSE IPO market is extremely weak, but this doesnt mean we can’t in some cases just sell our positions to other investors....an example of this is Fresho....we were bid for our shares but knocked it back as it will be worth a lot more by the end of the year. Be clear, we are not solely reliant on IPOs to realise value.
Also please remember we dont run the investee companies, we often arent even top 10 largest shareholders.
We only planted our investments over the last few years, it takes time and we only provide guidance to exits as we understand them at the time. We dont control the timings directly. When markets and investee circumstances change we try to let you guys know...hence why I introduced the Quartely reports in the first place.
We exited HHDL before anyone thought and at a great price...so its not always a case of having to wait longer.
Keep an eye out for the Quarterly, as usual we have to wait for the investee companies to collate their data/news, then recieve it ourselves. This usually occurs 5 to 6 weeks after the end of the Quarter....often we dont get all our news in time and release it anyway.
Hope this helps answer/contextualise your questions.
Best
AC
I think there are a lot of frustrated investors, myself included, that need to bare in mind this isn't a trading/punt fund its an investment company.
In fairness he replied to me within the hour last night, and to a certain extent he outlined a few points I'd missed or couldn't see. I would consider the entirety of what he did say to be genuine and think he made sense. Comes across as a decent bloke and isn't against us PI's.
I will post his reply to me if anyone wants me to, if not I recommend you mail him personally as he is very approachable, unlike most Directors.
I've just messaged them, will sum up the reply in due course
It just seemed so promising when we transitioned from STG, yet years later it doesn't feel like we are any further forward at all, in fact the share price reflects how far we have come imo.
Not prepared to sell without profit as I need some recompense to offset the last 6 years of treading water here.
Messaging the BOD Is pointless AJ, I know all the facts relevant to the individual investments, even a few they probably don't, from articles I've found in the public domain which I sometimes share here.
My issue is so many investments, and not one has been close to achieving the outlined potential, how can this be? Our hit rate is poor as an investment company really,to the point I'd recommended people to invest elsewhere if asked. That's not the way it's meant to be surely, although this is AIM of course!
I just trawled back through the updates and half year reports and this smoke and mirrors routine has been going on near 2 years, if not longer. After reading the last 2 years worth I'm quite angry as there is absolutely no way that all of the timescales given to the BOD prior to writing the updates have been missed, every single one, this cannot be a coincidence IMO. None of the set targets for IPO, nor for example the FDA approval for truespine have been even remotely accurate. I suspect our BOD are putting their own timeframes on things, which effectively pacifies PI's. The issue I have is when are there going to be dates provided that don't come with a 2-5 year window?
Getting ridiculous now, no wonder the updates late, again, it's cringeworthy reading let alone actually being the person writing it.
When will things change here 2020,2021..........
