5x5 , nope, they won't let me make a parmo! Cos we sell nothing else the couple of times they have let me so everything else goes in the bin....or my freezer tehe. I should point out as well that I still have 400k shares in my ISA. But average is about 0.74 Vs the 100k in trading @0.302. So I am blessed enough to be able to sell at profit still but yikes, talk about missing the top lol.
I may be taking over the kitchen in the new year, we'll see, if so I can start investing again but as is not only am I treading water financially my bike needs a service and the whole drivetrain replacing, it's getting dangerous to ride 70+ mile a week for work on her. That's money I aint got but that's not happening until the 9th so I got time to see if Rod has a meaty RNS to put out, either ending or starting the year preferably for me.
That said, I could sell some BOIL instead. Or sell the last of my trading account in EUA but loath to do so for the same reasons as UFO. The benefit of never putting all your eggs in one basket I suppose.
GLA.
PS. This line of the RNS right here, I like it.
"Alien Metals Ltd (LSE AIM:UFO) an iron ore pre-production company". Not read Alien described as a pre-production company before :)
Tbh while nice to have 90% ownership now officially signed off on I was kinda hoping this RNS was cultural heritage site sign off. Now that RNS should give a kick up the SP :)
In all honesty I'm looking to sell that final 100k in the trading account. Circumstances of moving out, cost of living, being paid a pittance for what I do for a living and now I am a proud dog owner these past few days. Well, we'll see come Wednesday as it's trial for now but going very well, free to a good home but between toys and feed it's another set of bills to contend with.
I very nearly sold on the 52 week low during November but just could not bring myself to lol. Nearly sold over 0.5 but again, held off as it still feels like selling my patience short. So had myself a painfully skint month so bring on some news flow to set a foundation for being back in penny land come the new year. Wishful thinking probably knowing AIM.
I'm wondering if Mr Market is going to stay pessimistic on UFO until the details around 5 mil funding and the AA deal are cleared up.
Well, GLA and a happy X-mas if I don't pop up again before then. No rest for the wicked over the festive period when you're a chef!

"Arming Ukraine (CBS self-censored documentary, 2022, 23 min)"
CBS found at least 30% of all arms donated to Ukraine have disappeared into a Ukrainian weapons black market. Ever seen the movie Lord of War? Time for Lord of War 2:Ukraine Edition. And too think the west swapped a stoner basketball player for an actual international arms dealer whose probably gone to work in some logistical capacity in Ukraine...
Pretty naive imo to think there are no shenanigans ongoing with western aid provided to Ukraine. From feathering of nests to selling of donated arms to questionable parties. There's a reason Ukraine has not historically being allowed anywhere near the EU after all, levels of corruption and all that. It may not be Russia but Ukraine is still of that gestalt (get a load of my waffle).
Anyway. Bit late if you ask me but nice to see some belated attempt at accountancy from the UK gov. Like her or loath her but Maggie had a point about government having no money but your money.
I hope HfB is well ;) My current head chef is moving to Australia as of January. Coincidences and all that.
Interesting day, still got all mine plus some I added above todays SP. 0.1 average in both ISA and trading these days. Waiting for the real bags to present either way.
In other news the burger flipper has gotten his first ever doggo today. He's just final asleep, 2 year old lurcher who needed a new home, just hope I can work for him (previous owner had a bunch of kids, I have me in a 3 bedroom). In other other news I may well be running the kitchen from new year so might even be able to afford to invest again cos they can fugg off expecting me to run things on 10 fifty an hour zero hour contract.
As is back, back to lurking. GLA, happy Xmas, happy new year, good health and here's to BOIL etc.
Large seller neutralised. More shares in BOD hands. Happy days. I think it reflects well on the BOD the prompt reporting around Artemis's holdings. This also lends credibility to Jordan's telegram post imo.
GLA.
Depends on which broker you are using. For me with Halifax it's 3 working days. You could try phoning your broker/using online chat and see if they can speed things up but unlikely. Most brokers also provide a bed and ISA service where they sell and buy in your ISA for you should you instruct them but that also takes time.
Typical, nish money on Tuesday to take part in a placing for the first time in 4 years of investing. Payday friday. Can't even afford 250k tranch in the ISA now that the usual placing price drift has not happened. FOMO AND FML....lol.
Good to have you back on board Robert.

BB, so basically you are saying you are such a towering hypocrite that you won't for one moment stop to entertain the notion you are mis/uninformed on something? Let alone wrong. All the while telling people they are wrong/idiots/whatever and posting links to cherry picked blah blah blah like that twitter link. I mean. A Twitter link is up there with a wikipedia link...
Well, I had fun reading that. Thx m8 :)
BSR, I disagree. The majority of deployed Russian manpower is intact and indeed being bolstered via the partial 300k mobilisation. Meanwhile Ukraine is on, at my last check over a month ago, it's 7th round of mobilisation and 4th wave of conscription of which the max age is 70. That's Hitler in the Berlin Bunker levels of denial right there and a multi generational disaster.
Russia meanwhile has had one round of partial mobilization and given it's Russia Vs the West I'd say, in relation to GDP, they've done pretty well so far despite some head scratchingly bizarre blunders along the way like Kharkiv. At least Kherson was orderly from what I am seeing.
Now, neither side can afford an all out war between NATO and Russia. Hate to point this out but our armed forces are not what they used to be. Too busy outlawing beasting, yelling at squaddies or trying to fight huwhite supremacy to form the capable fighting machines we once knew. Lions led by dogmatic elitist zealots who can't even accept basic biological facts. And that's not even touching upon the decades of military cutbacks outside of the US. Rishi is due to cut defense spending from what I've read.
So while Russia may have an economy in size comparison to that of Italy or Spain it spends more on military than most NATO members do so imo I think it a bit of a cak comparison that I've read many times now.
Finally I could not disagree more that history is irrelevant here. What was it the American Prosecutor said at the Nuremberg Trials about being doomed to repeat history? Stepan Bandera. I once more point out that the fact he is a national hero in modern Ukraine should be troublesome for anyone claiming to be adhering to western principles in supporting the Kiev Government since 2014. Galica Division? Center Right? Svaboda? Azoz? There's others and they all goosestep in the here and now, armed and funded via your taxes.
I do not see peace until such unsavoury actors are removed from the board even if removing them costs a % of deployed Russian forces.
BB. You post as if you are erudite but confess to being uninformed about major global events relating to US? The world super power no less. Let alone more recent events that very much play a part in what is happening in Ukraine now. I can't even my dude. I can't even.

5 minutes of your life to listen to Victoria Nuland deciding who will be the president of Ukraine after the Maidan Revolution? And maybe just maybe you'll find the time of day to skim read this.
https://geopolitics.co/2022/03/01/ukraine-the-mess-that-victoria-nuland-made/
What we see in Ukraine is the direct consequence of America foreign policy in Ukraine.
Now. Let's see what tomorrow brings. More blue or back to the usual trading range?
GLA.
"Live in your bunker, blame everybody else for your failures and invent whatever conspiracy you like to get you through the night. Surprised you haven't adopted the lizard theories yet, the truth is out there."
Laughable BB, laughable. Starting to think the term Dunning Kruger applies along with a 'lil projection. Russia applied to join NATO, it was rejected. Russia attempted diplomacy re Minsk 1 and 2, the can was kicked. The rest is history.
RUSATOM. Why would I suddenly mention that? Seems Hillary Clinton had no issues with Putin when she was Foreign Secretary but when she did not win what happened? Russiagate. A bogus claim debunked six ways to Sunday that even included legit 4chan /pol board nonsense in the from of the Steele Dossier, Russian hookers, peeing and Trump. My point?
Russia has being the convenient scapegoat in America politics for, well, as long as I've being alive. They even tried the same nonsense with Brexit if you recall but that narrative never gained traction like it did in America over Trump. So why should the Russians try to endear themselves to us when we go out of our way to paint them as an enemy and existential threat? And indeed provide funding and arms for the kind of people that think goosestepping is a good look in the here and now.
And if you want to talk about a safe place of conflict then I guess Uncle Sam missed it's traditional sparring partner it had to go without for a spell. Not that it stopped Uncle Sam doing the forever war thing. Just how many "foreign interventions" has America launched in the past 50 years? And how many of those foreign interventions came off the back of things American actors had done? Bay of Pigs? Gulf of Tonkin? Even Pearl Harbour was a false flag attack for crying out loud although that's more than 50 years ago. But anyway, some of the foreign interventions did not comply with the UN.
Funnily enough it was us Brits and the Yanks who set a precedent for invading another country without approval from the UN with recent times. Almost as if the UN only matters when it suits some. (League of Nation flashbacks anyone?)
Oh and Eisenhower warned us about this kind of thing in his final address. Western MIC thrives on proxy wars, the longer the proxy gets dragged out the more money it makes it's masters. BUT MUH CONSPIRACY THEORIES.
I've noticed that is your fall back position but given what you say about Climate Change would be labelled conspiracy theory I'm tickled how you also use the same labels for people you disagree with. I actually agree with you on that matter for what it's worth BB but I think you are very much wrong when it comes to Russian motivations as well as implementation. In fact I think you are somewhat bigoted.
Now I wonder if the name Stepan Bandera rings any bells? Cos as I said. People think this started in 2014. It really didn't and I refuse to lend support to anyone that venerates that man.
1994 Crimea referendum never happened I suppose. How about the attempt to make Crimea a republic independent of Kiev in 1992? An attempt done by the local admin. The whole Black Sea Fleet debacle around that time?
It's almost as if the majority of Crimeans want nothing to do with Kiev as time has gone on since Khrushchev transferred Crimea from the Russian SFSR to the Ukrainian SSR. Which means Crimea was part of Ukraine while the USSR still existed. Unless I've being reading the wrong history books (shrugs shoulders).
Seems silly to me to insist Crimea should be Ukrainian at any point in history let alone going forward in 2022. Also it's semantics differentiating between west and Ukraine/Kiev at this point. NATO intel, NATO weapons, NATO mercs, Western funds, Ukrainian muscle. I mean, Victoria Nuland did discuss who should be the next leader of Ukraine after the Maidan Revolution so ya know, the argument can be made that the Kiev government is a puppet of the US ergo it's territory is a proxy for US interests ergo western hence some will speak of Crimea in "western" terms of ownership. To me it does not seem overly idiotic.
Finally if an invading force is met with open arms is it really occupying? Or is it liberating? I suppose that's the old chestnut of one mans freedom fighter is another mans terrorist. I'd wager the only people feeling occupied as opposed to liberated in Crimea are the Tartar minorities. It's being a long time since Stalin mass deported their grandparents for fighting on the wrong side in ww2, mostly to Uzbekistan. As many as 40% never made it (low end is 20%). Being thirsty from cut drinking water may have ironically watered down such memories for the Tartars who remain. Who knows, I'm not there.
https://www.opendemocracy.net/en/odr/crimean-conundrum/ But that pretty much backs up my position barring the possibility of Tartars being more endeared to Russian rule after tasting Ukrainian rule. Although the polling was done in 2014 so again, who knows without going over there.
And that is why I leave the armchairing to others, who wants to read all that on an investment bulletin board? Well, back to flipping burgers.
GLA.
"key interventions that will be taken in 2023 to maximize investment in the oil and mining sectors" That's perked me up more than this cup of coffee before getting ready for work. I'd also be pretty peeved as a TL citizen if I knew my island was surrounded by gas but my government saw fit to import expensive LNG to feed converted power stations.
GLA.
Buckeye. Nice work, better than I managed. Long gone are the days of my once legendary 140 quid investment @0.982p being worth 11k that day we hit the low 40s and I didn't top slice any until the SMO was underway.
Still got 5000 of the 14256 shares I originally had there along with a well underwater £3k 21k ISA position. Reckon I'll make bank on it eventually but as is not much faith in the £1 party happening anymore. I'd take 25p just to be done with it and move on.
And yes. The EUA BB went from one of the better ones to one of the worst over the years. Shame really given the sheer scale of the assets.
I think my problem is I can sniff out companies with good assets but not so good at top slicing full in the knowledge of how the life cycle of a miner makes pure holding from early entries pretty dumb. Let alone how AIM BODs can ruin a good thing. Not that there is any scope for top slicing with 217 shares lol. That would be beer money even to me.
Roxy, thank you. Unlike most millennials I am blessed with a lot of patience. One of these days I won't be flipping burgers for others, I'll be doing my own thing. Got this signature rye flour based spicy, herby and fiber rich dry rub thing going on outside of work. Not met a person who does not like it except people who don't like any kind of heat. So there's a herby fiber rich version for them.
Give me 10k, license to flog and a suitable van. Proper Middlesbrough street food, can even make a non breadcrumb parmo with it :)
Up the Boro! And Poly tehe.
Hello JAB, I've being on lurk mode as all I have to offer is personal anecdotes, griping about work, politics and armchairing. I'll leave that to others :) Could have timed my entry into POLY better and with hindsight I could and should have increased my pot to 500 shares, at least, since I invested in late March. Ce la vie. Moved out now so no more adding to any pots.
I got what I got and a dream to escape the wage cage via high risk high reward investing. Or at least paying off debt and getting me an E-Bike. Still waiting on EUA but meh. UFO and BOIL are the fall back positions along with POLY that feels positively stress free in comparison to my usual AIM experiences of which I've had 16 in 5 years of investing. Not all bad, far from it b started with SXX... Fun times in the AIM casino so nice to hold something that is not AIM.
Here's to profits and divis next year. Who knows, one of my others might come in and I'll consider averaging up here. I wonder what people's thoughts are on the possible divi range? Going by Investegate the past few divis have a range from 0.89 to 0.20. . Not sure if that is pence or cents however as the page I'm using is the .com one which for some reason my ad bloc works on but it does not on the the British site.
On top of that there's the elephant in the room of geopolitics and the macros of gold prices, company debt levels etc but personally I don't think 25p dividend is unreasonable if only going by the range presented. Or will there even be the treat of a special dividend that amounts to what would have being payed out over the period normally?
Possibly getting a little ahead of myself but hey, nice to think about these things.
GLA.
Still holding 100 @ 198.8 in trading and 117 @ 180.36. Not much but in a years time could be quite a respectable holding for a zero hour burger flipper. Here for divi resumption personally that is if personal circumstance allow me to continue to hold until that as yet unknown time. Fun times in the wage cage.
