Last time i checked Chelsea FC weren't providing war materials to russia

The UK gov clearly believes that Evraz are assisting the Russians, that's quite worrying.

The government thinks that he controls Evraz and that Evraz is destabilising Ukraine. I would say there is a high chance of suspension because just freezing his assets won't stop him from constinuing to control the company.

Neeeew - well the bottom of that channel is about 80-85p and on the past few days it's dropped towards the bottom near close... but with it being xd tomorrow it's anyone's guess tbh.

Oh yeah, I don't mean this share or any others impacted in the same way or actually any involved in producing commodities, not in the short to medium term at least. But just in broad index terms, we've seen crazy money flows into equities since the pandemic and at some point the tide will go out and the market will correct. I expect growth stocks and riskier assets will continue to take the brunt of that pullback.

Risk assets are bouncing today, so probably just a sign of slightly improved sentiment. Not convinced it will be sustained, in general, I still think we've got more of a drop in equities ahead. The price of the msci world index is bouncing off support from the top of the trend channel that's persisted since 2008 ish. After breaking out post-covid, It seems natural for it to get back into this channel at some point. https://invst.ly/xm165

I agree we should see a bit more stability after tomorrow - the $64k question is 'at what price level will that stability occur'?

Oh I see - you'd need a lot to go perfectly right for that strategy to be worthwhile.

The dividend doesn't get paid tomorrow so divi reinvestment won't impact tomorrow's price

I think there's a decent chance that the ex divi drop will be accompanied by more selling and we'll see the price fall into the 30's, maybe further.... it's possible. I picked some up at 68p last week but have been holding off getting more because of nerves around what will happen tomorrow.
