Gods sake. This is what FUM are saying. Because the Phase III trial was a test between the active ingredient dissolved in the solvent vehicle MED3000 and just the solvent. Good grief. Do you not read? The results were they were both the same and "worked". For devices, you cant do "placebo" but in effect the vehicle med3000 was a placebo vs active. Hence the massive surprise and SP drop. And then this new device strategy that may or may not work, but there will be questions.

there is no active substance, so it doesnt matter if it penetrates the skin for the ED treatment. It does for the CBD and pain research.

Im sorry, that makes no sense. MED3000 was a solvent designed to transport the active ingredient through the skin and widen penile arteries to increase blood flow. The Phase 3 trial showed that this solvent by itself was as effective as the solvent with the active drug dissolved in it. As FUM says they think it works by evaporation, the effect is nothing to do with how / if it is absorbed through the skin. But rather by it being applied and tehn it evaporating off - this sensitizes and stimulates the nerves on the pen1s (FUM postulate).

im just being factual. It alarms me that people are saying MED300 binds to a substrate once it goes through the skin. For ED theer is no other component - just the solvents. Im amazed this is new to some of you.

Not ED. There is NO DRUG. S it cant bind to it as THERE IS NO DRUG (NO ACTIVE INGREDIENT). That's just a fact.

A solvent, by definition, is something that dissolves something. So MED3000 is a solvent - for then old active ingredient, the nitryl (working by the Nitric Oxide route - which widens arteries, including in the pen1s, which increases blood flow and which increases erection). That was the rationale, and MED3000 was the solvent that dissolved this and let it penetrate the skin barrier effectively. Now, FUM are saying that after the Ph3 trial, the vehicle (solvent) worked as well as the active ingredient. Okay, fine. Invest base on that, it could be true.

Probably low molecular mass hydrocarbon. If it works, great and gets approved great - much cheaper to make. But this is what we are investing in!!!!

2004 - nearly £1 a share. Dec 2009 before Phase 3 "failure" 35p a share. After phase 3 failure, 8p a share. May/June 2020, 26p a share. Sept - 12p a share. Today, 16p a share.

Why the drop from May/June to Sept?

agree, the EMA and FDA often do try and align, at least broadly. Not always, but often.

The fact some people dont even know what MED3000 is at a top level (i.e. a solvent with no active ingredient) is amazing. Just what on earth are you investing on, if not knowledge of the product? Im not saying this doesnt work, just that this was never FUM plan - they were a pharma company and spent millions researching and promoting an active drug for ED. That has now changed in less than a year. It raises questions. Im not saying it wont get approved/work....but I think any buyer will have a lot of questions and the regulatory bodies as well.

Hi Bucolic. I'm sure a 50% SP drop matters to anyone who invested say £50000 in May when some were saying "This will be 60p soon at least, if not £1k - as liberium, the house broker, say so". I'm sure they care the SP dropped 50%. And, yes, i agree. It does depend when you buy the shares - glad you agree. Thats why i will buy more after, in my opinion, people realise Med3000 will not be approved before Q4 2021 and when new funding has had to be found by FUM. That's all im saying. Glad you agree timing of buying stock is important on Aim, as opposed to FTSE100 with decent dividends and 5-10 years investment strategy.

But it is bucolic. That exactly what it is - a solvent that goes through the skin and carries an active drug (i.e. a vehicle). If you dont know that, i would really question what on what basis you are actually investing on? For ED, med3000 is not active in any way - no active drug. Just the solvent that by evaporating and then warming apparently helps create an erection. In the pain side, the solvent dissolves the CBD and gets it across the skin (i.e. Derma) barrier. But in ED there is now no active drug dissolved in it - just the solvent. With a fancy latin name (Dermasys)

For med3000 there is no active ingtedient, it is evaporation and cooling (liek when you pit gel on a hand and tehn it evaporates). for the pain product, med3000 dissolves the CBD and then transdermally (i.e. latin for across - trans - and skin - derma :) gets the CBD active product through the skin.

FUM planned that MED3000 (i.e. Dermasys) would work similarly with the ED active ingredient, but the Phase III trial showed that there was no difference between the solvent (Med 3000) and Med3000 with the active ingredient (nitryl) dissolved in it. So FUM went just with the solvent for ED as the "device" but for the pain side of things, still going with the active ingredient (CBD) dissolved in the solvent.

Hi bucolic. The MoA is unknown. But that MoA (the vehicle solvent - it dissolves the active drug) is what FUM said about their own drug. That the unstable solvent evaporates and this is what stimulates the nerve endings on the ***** and causes an erection. That is what FUM said.

I agree with. December 2019/Jan 2020, the share price was about 10p. So, yes, on that time scale, the SP went up by over 150%..... and then form those heights fell by over 50%. Yes, I agree, it depends on when you start from. From 2002, FUM has lost 90% of its value. But is that a fair comparison? Yes, it depends on when the timings parameters.

i think having a partner slap on some solvent and tehnit evaporating must be pleasurable. The feeling is the same as if you use gel (ish) or even better, if any chemists have put acetone on hands to wash off chemicals, then have it evaporate, that cold/evaporation feeling on hands is quite pleasurable. On something more sensitive, like the phallus, with all the nerve endings, must be more pleasurable. And that is how this product now works - simply cold / evaporation. No science or nitryl NO mechanism at all (now). That was the old product, which failed. And this is just now a solvent that evaporates at room temperature. Not sure a patent will be available for that (maybe when it is used as a vehicle to deliver CBD active product in the pain management side of things).

But its not a 55% rise bucolic, is it? Lowest it went down to is about 12.9p..... so its about a 20% rise. Or, to put another way, still about 35/40% down from May.

Agree with all of that. Except the SP :). And good idea.... a later stage angle for FUM could be this "bit of fun for the weekend" after established in people with ED. A bit like Viagra was for serious ED, and now is available direct. Good post. And good luck. Im waiting a bit longer :)

Im sure in feb 2020 time, the usual suspects (after the failure of the Phase 3 trial, but the hope of the device route) were saying that "2020 would be the year" and when it went to 25/26p, people saying "its now, its happening, it will be over £1 soon". Ananda and others were saying that. Why dont they just say "we were wrong - its slower than we thought". Like I said i was wrong on the submission dossier to ema?
