Thank you for your post, but I made a mistake re Karamehmet's holding, which is well below arriving at 30%: I should not have added yesterday's 6.84% to the holding with Davy AM, because the 6.84% that has been pledged to his bank is included in the Davy AM figure.

Think (but not sure) Karamehmet lost the voting rights on the 6.84% when he pledged that stock to his bank.

Doubt it's got anything to do with his daughter (he remains the biggest investor in Genel, so it's perfectly normal he should be represented on the board).

There were some exchanges about Alba's % in HH a little while back.

The RNS confirms Alba's holding as 11.765%

But I am still intrigued!

Bilgin increased their stake to just over 20% (RNS of 14/11/19), now Karamehmet's bank has ensured it can vote on the 6.84% holding he has pledged to it.

But, presumablyy, they have been holding shares as collateral since the "security interest agreement entered into between Focus Investments Limited and IS Bank in November 2012", so why seek to exercise the vote now?

Whatever the reason, it's been done ahead of the approaching AGM.

Can't see his bank voting the pledged shares any other way than in accordance with his wishes, can you?

No change in Karamehmet's holding, simply his bank exercising its right to vote on the share of his holding he had pledged to them.
