Angus Energy (AIM: ANGS) are pleased to announce the submission of variation application to the Environment Agency (EA) which includes a revised Hydrogeological Risk Assessment regarding the use of one of the Brockham wells for water injection. This substantial document has been prepared following consultation with the EA and a number of specialists. A short programme of data collection on the well in question is also planned as part of the undertakings. Water injection for pressure support is the most important means of enhancing the recovery of oil from a reservoir and a successful scheme would ensure a life for the Brockham Field on into the future.

The share price is behind, too, but for how much longer?

The truth is, they are visibly getting on with things, and no amount of deramping can change that simple fact.

Might be a vote of approval for the Balcombe application (my capitals):

4.1.2 Phase 1, pumping operation, is anticipated to take up to 4 weeks and will use a minimum
amount of surface equipment. Assuming this is successful, Angus Energy would then move
on to phase 2, the civil engineering works to upgrade the pad containment. Once
construction and installation of the pad membrane is complete, phase 3 WOULD COMMENCE WITH AN EWT FOR 12 MONTHS DEPENDING ON RESULTS. The final phase, plugging and restoration
of the site, phase 4, will be carried out on completion of the operation if future site production
is not achieved.

Work to begin in the mine after the Bank holiday, commercial production indicated within the next 12-36 months.

If all goes to plan, the current share price will become history.

PS: I say "markets anticipate", but the share price is flat, so, apparently, the market is anticipating nothing at all in the next few months.

With working starting on the Saltfleetby pipeline on 7/09, do not expect the share price's indifference to developments to persist.

Markets anticipate: personally, think the next few months should prove very interesting as Saltfleetby is seen to progress on (and under) the ground.

From my standpoint I was hoping that 2020 would be a year when Anguish SP recovered and we should have Balcombe in EWT and Poundland more or less in production by now and something, anything, progressed at Brockham and Lidsey.

It's the 27th August, gkb47, Summer may be drawing to a close but Summer doesn't signify the end of the year!

Agreed, it has gone quiet. Await:

1/ re-perforation of HH-1, which was for this Summer, but today is already the 27th August;
2/ confirmation of submission of documents re the Turkish project to the authorities:

The assignment of the 50% interest from AME to UKOG is subject to Turkish governmental approval, which is expected to take around 2 months from submittal of the necessary standard documentation. It is expected that these documents will be submitted over the next few weeks whilst the formal agreements between UKOG and AME are finalised. (RNS of 23/07)

Most people think that ANGS are only keeping the application going for news flow and that , like the famous test (NOT) at Brockham last year , it will be cancelled at the last moment.

There are a lot of derampers on the ANGS board, agreed, but there were more before a number of them were banned.
