Operations at Clogau ceased when they became uneconomic because of the low price of gold.
The most important factor in the re-opening of the mine is the price of gold.
The gold price has a history of surging upwards on occasions - it has held up very well during the recent period of higher interest rates. Personally, I think we may be on the brink of one of these upward surges in price.
The capital reorganisation enables UKOG to issue new shares, but UKOG's freedom of movement is limited by its market cap, currently £1.95m.
If UKOG is to undertake any initiatives of any size, it has to get its market cap up.
