If we just look at the sidetrack:

51% of £7.2m at today's prices = £3.672m of revenue per month.

Current market cap for the whole company: about £13m.

In fact, gross production, of which we have a 51% share, solely from the existing wells and which is wholly unhedged for the month of June, is expected to yield 1.5 million therms or gross revenue of GBP7.2 million at today's forward price for that month alone.

Not sure about that. They haven't put in any bid up until now, it's been a "possible" bid. But this time they would need to commit.

That is where, of course, there is room for an upside surprise, should SOU choose to persist.

PS: given Angus's share price, the market does not appear to expect SOU to make an offer.

Further to the announcement published earlier today, the Company now advises that Sound Energy Plc, a potential offeror have, as a term of agreeing to the Placing, been granted an extension to the deadline by which Sound Energy plc is required either to announce a firm intention to make an offer for Angus Energy plc in accordance with Rule 2.7 of the Takeover Code or to announce that it does not intend to make an offer, in which case the announcement will be treated as a statement to which Rule 2.8 of the Takeover Code applies. Accordingly, it has been agreed that such announcement must now be made by not later than 5.00pm on 11 March 2022, being the date being 28 days from the admission of the new Angus Energy plc shares to trading on AIM.

If Saltfleetby is a blue riband project , then Angus's share should command a blue riband price reflecting that quality.
