No diminution of nav if the increase in number of shares is accompanied by a corresponding increase in assets.

On the contrary, if the value of the assets increases more than the increase in the number of shares, then net assets per share will increase.

This is the whole point of UKOG's approach: they seek to prove up the Weald basin, convert resources into reserves and increase net assets per share.

Number of shares in issue is irrelevant.

Just means that if you invest, say, £10k, you buy more shares than if each share was priced at, say, 15.75p.

In theory, when the markets take a dive, the good goes down with the bad.

However, when things improve, the good are the first to recover and the bad take longer, if they recover at all (!).

What would be more useful than a measure of volatility would be an advance indicator of direction of movement.
