Will be interesting to see if there is some recovery in next 7 days or so. Ex divi today accounted for some sells and the report re 7.5% poss fall in vehicle premiums (only a single survey result that I suspect is short term/ unlikely to significantly affect eSure) will have spooked others, but we are now at a very attractive premium to issue price last year. Got to expect this to recover soon.........

Just hasn't made a lot of sense today. Almost 9% fall after perfectly decent results and conservatively optimistic 2014 forecast. All I can say is that unless a bad RNS hits the news tomorrow (which I do not expect) this share looks incredibly cheap. Ive added later today at 244, ( usually kiss of death for me!) Seriously.....I am comfortable holding this at least another 6 months.

Yes...looks like a reaction to this: "motor insurers are going into reverse after a downbeat survey of the sector from Confused/Towers Watson. The index showed the cost of personal motor insurance had dropped in the first quarter after signs that rates might have stabilised in the previous three months" I dont see this as anything more than an opportunity to get prices lower for MMs to fill orders! Stop loss instructions will no doubt be popping now for some IIs, but Im sitting this out. May take a month or so.....hopefully less.

No obvious reason except your ex divi suggestion. Cannot see any logic here, but that's the FTSE at present! Looks oversold to me and there are more buyers than sellers now so I expect it to recover......perhaps a buying opportunity. Dont panic!

Agreed, Dan_Poole Solid company with good potential. DTG is a share for anyone's ISA or general portfolio as it is a steady dependable company with ongoing record of profit and asset growth. Textbook investors choice in my view. Only FTSE movement will take this off course, but lower sp's, driven by external factors, always present a buying opportunity.

Thought that the forecast would be better and that the finals not so disappointing. Looks like a tough 2014 but if you can hold on another 12 months it may come right. Current eps supports current price. But Im out this morning.GLA.

Indeed, well done all you CUP faithful. Let's hope this little buying spurt indicates good knowledge and not just hope! All being well we should see an "acceptable" 2013 given all the problems, and that the negative numbers we anticipate vs 2012 are already in the SP. We have been a patient lot given the TOTAL lack of current information from the directors. Let's hope that they improve their news releases in the current year and that the 2014 forecast is positive. We shall see by day break tomorrow......regards to you all (even if this BB is more of a social gathering than a share information site!)

Barclays new forecast today is 8,000. Still a great value share. Those who bough up nearer 7,000.....dont despair!

Thanks for the source, Initforpips. But i see it differently. Short term views can, of course,affect the sp, but I see the present price as an overreaction to negative views. ASOS are market leaders with international growth prospects. They have properly funded investment to permit significant turnover growth and a totally committed management team. This is a buy at current sp and a hold for 2014 and beyond.

sounds like a de-ramp view......on what evidence? ASOS is making excellent progress with carefully considered investment to allow doubling of t/o Read the last RNS and make your own mind up., All rating still far exceed current bargain price. This is a buy....I topped up this afternoon

It's a difficult call. There has not been any significant buying in the lead up to 2nd April, but that may just mean that the expected RSN is being kept very confidential, as it should! A large short was taken in January by Ennismore Fund Management Limited representing 3.38% of issued shares and it is not clear if that has all cleared ( bought back). But if not, and the market likes the CUP results, it will be a costly but back for Ennismore. Let's hope so! My feeling is that results will be mixed: a negative 2013 as expected, (excluding the one-off profit from asset sale), but a decent first quarter 2014 with optimistic forecast for the year and beyond. CUP is still a hold for me. But DYOR. I'm expecting modest sp grpwth next Tuesday if results are half decent. Then good growth after half year results confirm CUP is on track. But we need upbeat results next week to rebuild confidence.

I think so. Good call from me earlier this month....not! No idea what will happen next week but fundamentals still support growth so Im holding. Looking at least 6 months hold now. Good luck....

When the current uncertainties are eased ( and that could well be Monday as late DOW trading improved), CUP should get back on track to reflect what some may already know will be an optimistic 2014. Just my view.......still guesswork until numbers are released 2nd April. I'm holding. But it's looking positive......

We will not know how to value this share until we get Y/E and 2014 forecast. You never know....we could be in for a big push. Certainly going in the right direction and Im convinced some investors know what is to come......the recent trades show a lot of confidence Keep happy...!

Taken me a while to interprete your post! Must be my age..... I see, eventually, what you mean. Easy to clone stuff, but its new tech that moves the business....have I got it right? Again, I have to assume ( in the absence as usual of detail from CUP management) that they are "up to speed" with this stuff. Im still confident based on: 1. Very recent sp movement with decent buys from, I guess, investors with better knowledge of facts than we are. 2. CUP are still market leaders in this industry and have a lot to gain by getting it right. 3. Their management have had 6 months to heal the problems and lots of cash to do so. Im expecting a bit of good news on 2nd April..........

Agreed. My Friday 18.11 note should have referred generally to "direct costs" and not just advertising. But I have to assume that CUP management will have addressed these issues in the second half in the full knowledge of the reduced revenue stream. But things seem to be on the up. CUP was one of the few shares in my portfolio that turned blue on Friday! I actually topped up a few (kiss of death). I think better news is around the corner.....

Wish it were that simple! Remember that CUP disposed of almost 60% of revenue bearing assets mid year for £45.1m. (£28.5m of that deferred over 4 years). Retained business produced £16.5m revenue (of £43.4 total) in first half 2013. My guess is that total revenue will be around £60m for 2013. Higher marketing costs will impact on net earnings that are already carrying small first half loss, although profit on asset sale will add, and the company is cash rich from the sale. Depends on what is left on bottom line for 2013 to achieve eps to Y/E 2013. Share price will reflect expectation to “deliver stronger financial performance in 2014" as forecast in Bill Dobbie’s September review. Hence I hope to see a better P/E on lower 2013 earnings, but much improved by mid year 2014 as costs are driven down to reflect reduced revenue. Hopefully we will get some comfort on 2014 after 2nd April as first 3 months will be completed. I am optimistic that the company will be healed. IMO a good “hold” with great 2014/15 prospects.
