I did say that if we didn't hold that 8.1 we might get a low 7's or thereabouts, quite interesting it went down to 7.4 there it hit a trend line from lows of 15th of July. Fortunately my limit buy yesterday did not get triggered and expired, but unfortunately I didn't ladder in lower this AM. As i've said for weeks low 7's should be it and we will move up now

I think 8 p has some significance. 7.92 is the or there about is a 50% fib (not actually a fib but works like one) so losing it I think it is likely that we go down fill the gap ( as mentioned elsewhere) and possibly lower to the daily 200MA around 7.2. So, it’s not pennies – it’s about 13 %.
Now is this a prediction? No, I don’t know that this will happen. Do I think it will – well, yes if 8p or so breaks it is more likely it will fall lower.

But to be clear- If we get huge bullish news in the meantime, will this happen? No, then we look at it again.

just DCA into it, esp if you are worried you wont catch the bottom - should not have much more to go before up

You are falling for the common misconception that charts predict the future. I am specifically saying that the charts do not predict the future. They reflect what the market knows now, and you base analysis on that.

Tell me how do fundamentals warn of an imminent announcement? How do they help you in the same scenario? They don’t, and neither does TA, but sometimes, not always (jeez) price anticipates announcements for reasons I am sure we are all aware of.

Yes, chartists do re-look at the chart to consider how the price has moved, and then re work the analysis it to take account of that. Why would you not look at the latest info rather than using old info? Yes, you have to be big enough to say “I was wrong, I need to relook at that in the light of this” To work otherwise only shows a closed mind, and I find a rigid view isn’t useful in most scenarios.

You may ask if I think it will go down further why am I holding? Because I do not know for certain, but I am happy enough to wait to buy more if it hits my level, if it doesn’t I will buy on a retrace after a move up.

Funnily enough I used to have this discussion with an old poster called Hub who could not get his mistaken assumptions about tech analysis out of his head – he was often wrong btw, couldn’t admit it and poorer for his inflexibility.

That is not what I said, no-where near. Can you re read my post? Happy to discuss merits, but please read the post first

Charts do not predict absolutely, they only say if this happens then this is more likely that that. There is no absolute truth, just as we have found that the fundamentals of CHAR seem to suggest that we should have a higher price...yet here we are, much lower than we THINK we should be. Both charts and fundamentals are useful, but only the price action tells us what the market thinks at the moment.

That is the problem with those with closed minds to charts – same with those with closed minds to fundamentals, they think they somehow can use them to predict outside of all the other factors – wrong. The price as is now takes into account all the factors and you base analysis on that.

To your points (robustly put) if new info is released to the market, (and especially so in AIM) after all it is certain that that info has been around and taken advantage of by some in the days preceding, and the chart will show that, it’s actually avery good predictor in those circs. so you are less likely to be taken by surprise looking at the charts.

We are hitting a 50% level from major swing high (2018) and if you take the fibs from October 2020 high we hit the .786 fib before reversing.
On the same swing, the fact that we lost support on the .382 fib (around 8.58) is a problem, and I think the market will now look for the gap to be filled to (as mentioned before)
But on weekly there is some support on weekly 20 for longer term… but below 8.1 I think we go to 7.2
However, after that, and when/if we get there we have a 3-wave correction in place and looks good for a bounce
FYI I am invested with a not excessive 5 figure position and will look to add if it drops lower so not de-ramping or ramping - just sharing
