At the moment it is all about the evolving results from the Lagoa Salgada drilling programme - it is a known area of Zinc deposits and drilling samples have shown elevated levels of Indium when re-assayed. It was a family investment in the decline of department stores when I was a teenager; asset stripping leasehold and freeholds whilst establishing a new model selling clothes and household goods. I paid my way as a bookmaker at the time - hence my current scepticism of gambling AIM shares. As I have grown older I regret predating on the illiterates and others with less numeracy skills than mine. Unfortunately my bookmaking career was brought to a halt when 4 feckers with ak47s tried to rob my shop. I have lived in the UK ever since.

Dustymop - this is a long term play [in my opinion]. Rampers have picked on this tiny AIM share before hence my comment about speeding tickets a few days ago. I am fortunate to have benefitted from a 100 bagger but that took 30 years and inflation; and that share is down 20% since the shares were sold a few years ago. Nice to have been able to retire in my forties though.

The Investment update on the 2nd of November stated: 'TH Crestgate expects to be reporting further assays for indium and selenium after reporting zinc, lead, copper, gold and silver contents, as they require a separate assaying process'. To develop an accurate understanding of the mineralisation in the Lagoa Salgada deposits will [in my opinion] require a lot more testing. This is MAFL's 'flagship asset' so I expect further modelling of the 'sphalerite and arsenopyrite rich massive sulphides' - this is an area of extremely old volcanic activity. I doubt that they will sell cheap on unclear data. Once a better understanding of where the minerals are and what they are potentially worth then you will be able to look at the overall picture of the resource and attempt to quantify resource values. The drilling update on the 16th of October stated: 'We expect a resource estimate on Lagoa Salgada to be completed before year-end.' When the update comes I expect it to come with the caveat that further testing is required and that more drilling may be required. As the last placing [15 March 2017] was at 15p and came before the stream of good drilling results I do not expect any problems raising funds if they need to. To anyone with Weald investments I commiserate your bleak day/week - there will be much bitterness on those boards this weekend.

We are due the sixth set of results soon, which many here expect, with good reason, to be positive. There may be a significant short term spike. However, I postulate saleable testing results will only be available in 2019, There are other anomalies yet to be drilled, and testing of the samples takes time. As the last RNS states: 'If the indium were to be payable in the concentrate, or allowed for lower treatment charges offered by the smelter, this would help improve the economics of any mining operation' The other [and future] cores will need to have further tests [i.e. - be re-assayed] to attempt to model the Indium value.

Cod, smoked haddock and [farmed] salmon - I forget the floury potatoe's variety - but the bowl was plentiful. I look forward to being able to regularly add wild salmon to my fish pie [go MAFL go].

A volatile day for me today - most of my bio shares down; most of my minerals shares are down; only the stem cell shares and mafl are showing as up. Still, I have the honour of listening to David Davis telling Parliament how he is going to make Brexit work. Fish pie in the bowl tonight.

I see the SP is currently 15p on Google Finance - I had to check to see if the expected RNS had been released! But this being MAFL it had dropped back down to 14.25p by the time I finished typing...

The drilling update on the 16th of October stated: The last hole (LS-MS-05) of this drilling program drilled through several faulted zones and was evaluated thoroughly before the core sample was sent to ALS Global in Seville, Spain for assaying. We expect the results to be returned to TH Crestgate within the next 2 to 3 weeks. Hopefully news will be delivered early next week [ie how many faulted zones, their dimensions and initial assay results]. If elevated Indium is found in other cores then further news should flow.

Another risk - new power sources and storage methods. There may be be advances in thorium reactors and molten salt batteries.

To me the main risk is the US acceptance / opposition of stem cell therapies [the birther movement and Mr Trump?]

I know - to me it is a 10 year gamble [a bit like other mining / bio shares].
