£18 before 3rd quarter results £20 here we come

If RDS for example paid 10% of the cost for Nord Stream 2, how much will they earn when it’s up and running.
Would it be a percentage of gas per m3/cu ft which passes through the pipeline and if so what percentage.

Part of your equation is missing the planet is coming out of Covid and playing catch-up there’s nothing artificial about that. Have you seen how many ships are waiting to get into docks around the world. They use fuel the planes container lorries and delivery vans use fuel when they have drivers. This is what we have been waiting for and expect £20 by the next excellent 4th quarter results.

3rd quarter results in 3 weeks, Ex div on the 11th November when there might be some profit taking.

The Chinese government have ordered banks to increase loans to mining and energy companies to boost coal production. This comes on top of reports they are buying and importing very dirty high sulfur coal from Indonesia costing five times than it did two years ago.

In the not too distant future when RDS have all the Green infrastructure in place with a storage system they will be able to flick a switch at the most profitable time of day and supply clean energy which will make more money than oil ever did. It will also put a stop to the boom bust cycle because the energy will be stored which should protect investors dividends. One day people will look back and laugh at the thought of Shell at £25.

Gas producing nations including Russia have said they cannot keep up with demand so expect higher gas prices for the next two years. Personally I don’t believe the higher price of gas will ever go down but I hope I’m wrong.

Christmas came early the OPEC+ decision didn’t take long does this mean it’s green lights through £17? I think so.
On the 28th we are going to get stonkingly good 3rd quarter results followed shortly after by ex dividend day.

Bald eagle, Sorry I was not referring to the UK so much but to global power stations and industry being made to switch from coal power to gas. It’s this new investment in infrastructure the Greens don’t want to see because once it’s done companies will be reluctant to spend more money in 20-30 years changing over to clean energy.

We should debate it’s interesting and the weekend there’s enough technical discussion and graphs during the week. I know nothing of hydrogen or the delivery system but I would like to find out more about the effect of hydrogen on the countries network of pipes. I have not lived in England for many moons what material do they use nowadays? In the meantime we should transition to natural gas while we continue to build more wind and solar farms and develop other technologies as fast as possible. Unfortunately the Greens don’t want us to spend time and money switching to gas because it will slow down the zero carbon target.

I hear you Bald e this transition period is going to be extremely difficult and governments of the world need to balance the cross over and not behave like the Dutch court. I know they are full of good intentions and oil companies do need a kick in the pants but you can’t just turn the taps off. Anyway whatever happens the planet with a population which is going to grow by 20% in the next 30 years will need a lot more energy and Shell can provide whatever is required.

Hey NSS, If you are asking about the Chinese buying Indonesian coal it was reported on Bloomberg yesterday and they had it up on their studio’s digital display. As for the Russians that was reported this week on the BBC CNN Sky or CNBC I can’t remember which one but you can never believe what the Russians say. I’m a bit of a news addict. We are all going to have to get used to paying more for our energy in the coming years.
