RE: SHORT INCREASE TO 0.51%27 Sep 2022 23:51
Hi Sharehead and thank you JG68 for the Citadel short alert notice.
Citadel has in the past dropped their then declared short position from 0.54% when dated 14th December 2020
to then 0.48% on the 21st December 2020. We could say that in theory they could had kept that short open as
0.48% and perhaps that's the one the hedge fund that might be responsible for restricting the share price upwards
direction. Therefore, the fact that they had increased from a possibly laying asleep short of 0.48% to recent 0.51%
as of 26th September 2022, doesn't worry me at all. If you look at the boohoo shares, their shorts are over 10%.
The Boohoo share price has been dropping week by week and it will not be far off from reaching our levels all in due time imho. Nevertheless, AimMaster2018 needing get too excited as I've been invested in Capita even when it had over 3.5% against it and still did well against the shorts bet. So, to frank with your, the Citadel publicity of their short isn't worrying me at all and I actually rather know who's my enemy than not knowing at all.
Moreover, I don't believe that Citadel recent announcement is that 'recent' as for the FCA being told of an open short over 0.50% must be before 3:30pm for it to have today date and get published today too just after 5pm.
Therefore, if it says the 26th Sep 2022 and we just got it published today by the fca, it means that they were already one day late or wanted to miss yesterday cut off to have published for todays date. Anyhow, they could have had that short increased from last 0.48% or opened a brand new short few weeks ago and only as of yesterday they want to be seen by the general market investors and of course the Capita small investors.
Also, don't forget that hedge funds do at times work together for allowing them to grab cheap shares as the shorter influence the shares to drop. So, don't be surprised if there're Institutional Investors awaiting to get in before the last train leaves the capita station and they miss their desired entry. So, don't pay much attention and look elsewhere if you're considering riding on the back of that publicly now known short as you will get scalped twice over. You'll better to place your short bets in BooHoo before you miss your chance there too.
