Reply to StarBright's 08:48 post -
I asked "What's you gripe?"
I'm going to assume that your motivation for posting was because you don't like show-offs, loud-mouths, braggarts who try to appear clever and need to be taken down a peg or two. I can understand that. I don't like that sort.
If that was your motivation, then look elsewhere as you are picking on the wrong person.
See a post I made last Monday on another board - "I'm not here to be a show off with an "I'm right and you are wrong" attitude. I'm here to make money and if someone has made a better interpretation of the chart, that I will use it and not ignore it." - why did I post that? Read on.
I post in the spirit of discussion and debate. As I have said many times, I am not an expert at TA and so I offer my interpretations of chart patterns in the hope of getting replies from people who are more knowledgeable than myself and who can help to confirm or refute my interpretation. In my career, teamwork and co-operation always led to better outcomes and it usually does in life general.
Before anyone posts mockery or silly little cartoons with the claim that I am now making excuses to try to dig myself out of a hole, I can, as usual, back up what I say with proof.
Days ago, on the SHG board I offered a chart interpretation and I got replies from people telling me that my interpretation was not correct.
This was as I had hoped - informed opinion to help to confirm or refute my views. They told me, in sensible posts, where I had gone wrong and what was wrong with my views.
They were telling me that I was wrong, and I posted - "Thanks for the latest comments. Very interesting and much appreciated." (SHG, Mon 19:38)
Two people had given good explanations of exactly where they thought I had gone wrong and I posted - "Must say - "I do want to see what you see in the chart" - that's true, I'm not here to be a show off with an "I'm right and you are wrong" attitude. I'm here to make money and if someone has made a better interpretation of the chart, that I will use it and not ignore it." (SHG, Mon 18:25)
So you have proof that I haven't just now dreamed up something to say as an excuse on here.
An arrogant "I don't care what you say, I'm right" and "Look at me, see how clever I am" attitude is a way to lose money. Taking the views of other people into account - provided they are sensible people offering informed opnon and not idiots who post only mockery, insults and abuse. I'm not saying you have do as they say and blindly follow advice, but it should be taken into account.
On the SHG board I got sensible replies and it was the sort of debate I always hope to initiate with my posts.
Now, why have I made only seven or eight forecasts in three or four years? It is because, as I said, I know only about six patterns. They don't happen every day. I don't go trawling charts of other companies looking for them, but when they crop up in the price
