DYPC don't you be having any sleep now. You've got responsibilities.
I think the update given by the partners has been supplied not by Jadestone but by Valaris. Logically, for me at least, they will have given a pretty precise time for release of the rig. Any problems would likely have been known by now and from the RNS's the workovers are certainly all but done.
It will be lovely to see the Valour/Sirius/Atlantic all pointing the same way grouped at 2 o'clock to the Valaris.
It seems that these approvals are of the type that you contact the authorities to say its on and they stamp the paper. If that wasn't the case and we had received the rig on time from Jadestone we would have been sat with a useless but very expensive rig for the last six weeks.
Remember the maritime Treaty enacted between Timor-Leste and Australia that moved Buffalo-10 into Timor-Leste (T-L) waters came with the agreement that the security of title and legal rights currently held by Carnarvon will be preserved through conditions equivalent to those already in place under Australian domestic law. Holding back an approval unnecessarily would no doubt cost T-L. Very unlikely to be any issues in my view given that and that the officials from T-L have always made it clear they want to achieve first oil as soon as possible.
'Let's not complicate matters'.
Bout sums it up.
Dispels some pre-conceived ideas I had about support/resistance Wyn, thanks.
Thanks for the reply Wyn. Call it a wild guess but it seems you are of the view we will hit off the next support. Be interesting to see where it does go. Not many trading days to get out and back in if we hit our now expected timeline so while not averse to trading I'm going to wait this one out.
'.......late October, early November, mid November, late November..'
Plus now mid December.
Fairly descriptive timeline. Conveys ages.............encapsulates six weeks.
Given the market headwind thrown up by emerging virus strain and the new spud timeline we seem to have strength at this SP. Would be interested to see how this is being interpreted by our chartists. Welcome your thoughts guys.
My perspective is we have always been beholden to the Skua workovers. You can't get to work if the bus doesn't arrive.
Results due:
"We will provide updates as drilling progresses and I look forward to being able to share the Buffalo-10 well results with our shareholders early in the new year.”
Why does the word 'deadline' keep popping up. There hasn't been one.
Well measured post MT. I totally agree.
No doubt while this mini tornado is having its moment on the board the important stuff is being dealt with by Jadestone/ADV/Carnarvon.
'....stop effing giving expected times. Or at least, take the opportunity to keep us a bit more informed.'
Rubs chin in a puzzled way.
Thanks Piltick really appreciate you taking the time to answer my query.
I was under the impression an AHTS wouldn't be used as a supply vessel due to cost. Is the Go Sirius an AHTS or a PSV or some other type of vessel?
Carnarvon reacting to the overnight NU variant concerns no doubt.
The site does blank out the vessels names more often than not but the vessels location will still be shown albeit as generic 'Tugs and Special Craft'. If you click on them, at the bottom of the box you get a fairly up to date time as to when they were last seen by satellite. This helps rule out any unreported movement. Get two or three ships all pointing at roughly the 2 o'clock position just off 12° 30' 02. 77 (reading top right of the map) which is where the rig is plonked and I guess we are on for a move.
Pacific Valour has now arrived on the scene.
With all three known tow vessels now on plot...............Is this it?
My money's on no movement of the rig until the Pacific Valour arrives tomorrow. Don't see why it would be heading back out to the Valaris if it wasn't going to be used. Why change the tried and tested formula. Go Sirius, Skandi Atlantic and PV to do the tow as they did to get it into its current position.
Rig is still, as of 15 minutes ago, showing it in the same location 12° 30' 02.77
Yep sorry SGf, forgot about you:-)
