The life cycle of a mineral discovery29 Jun 2020 10:21
Charles Scott recently sent me a link which introduced “The Lassonde Curve” by Pierre Lassonde and boy o boy I wish I’d read and understood this before I started investing in mining stock........
This curve highlights risk and potential along the pathway from early exploration to mine depletion.... a guide to when to buy and when to sell during a mine’s life cycle if you wish.
This “life cycle” has 7 stages and the one most appropriate to LP (in my opinion) is stage 6 entitled Startup/Production.....which states
Investors who have held their investment until this point can pet themselves on the back. Theoretically, investment analysts will re-rate this deposit to help it attract more attention from institutional investors as well as the general public. Meanwhile, existing investors can choose to exit here or wait for potential increases in revenues and dividends... obviously a general scenario...
Again to me it looks like we are indeed at stage 6, our SP has increased significantly over the last two weeks: 33.33% last week and 20% the week before, numbers courtesy of GIT.....
IMHO the re-rate has begun and I’ve had another little top up this morning..... Gla and I’ll try and post the link in a separate message....
One things for sure, we will know soon enough.
