Given that I knew, what I know now, this would be my holdings for income and capital gain on a long term hold...say 10 years.

Sitting in FRES...cant really say that it has bottomed out, so wouldnt say go in now for a quickie or longer hold....major silver producer, so its product will always be wanted for the ladies ornaments and for electrical connection stuff apart from any other uses. Gives me time to sit back...let it run whichever way until it makes me a turn. Glenda is in the doldrums just now....copper use by China for their electrical manufacturing....oil taking a hit for Donalds play...just as well they are diversified into agri....we all need to eat :). Just hope FRES gets a tickle so I can get back in here before the Christmas rush starts.

I'm trying to keep myself to half a dozen or so players that I can carefully watch.....CNA...shaking my head just typing that....it has GOT to be good for thirty bob any day of the week...took " a correction" the same as the rest of the major players, and is on the rise....thats a def holder if you have age on your side to benefit from the income....Aviva is my preferred insurer play....can remember saying to grandson at 220....a couple of years down the road and these will double....and they did double and more.....same with BaE...had them when they were at 212...now well up plus income....a few more, well spread throughout the sectors....just wish I was 20 years younger and still healthy....every morning I go to https://uk.investing.com/equities/united-kingdom......go to the %age column and reorder...biggest hits and see who has taken their turn for "correction".....they are all taking 12 - 16 % fall, in their turn.....fairly good system for spotting who is getting battered and wait for the fall to bottom out. Time is my enemy, not the market.

Had a couple of dabbles in Evraz a couple of years back......went to have a looksee at how they are faring.....looks like 2 separate unit....Russian and USA entities...are they under the one umbrella......personal distaste for anything connected to Russia.....too few in control over there /corrupt paractices.......the US website, newest they were flagging up on site was from 2016...expanding sales into Brazil and wheel manufacture for Europe.....so havent done anything by way of indepth look at them.

Had a good blether with son on FB 1st thing....he's missing his fishing...too cold for the carp......then for amusement, picked one of the chats from the left sidebar and had a looksee....AIM.....spoting forth the virtues of the recent upturn of the penny share.....a quick look at the LSE chart and it showed a marked decline....usual day trade 200-600 k volumes on the way down....then miraculously daily volumes increase into 1.5 - 3.3 million volumes and guess what....price starts to rise...would you believe.....0.13 p of a rise then a nice volume of 2.7 million trade...followed by a flat line share price where volumes are now back to 1 - 2.9k volume......why do people fall for that ploy so often and get their fingers burnt ?????

Correct , Billy...and DOnalds neighbours , the Canadians, have that much oil on the go their pipelines arnet big enough to cope with the output from their wells....resorting to truck and rail transport to get the crude to the refineries......and good morning to you.....see Craig slipped one in about part time work.....his suggestion being getting a job trimming bushes....now was that the greenery he was referring to or one of his double entendres......lol

Be worth your while to look at the 5 year chart in here for them Craig....they have managed the low 1300's on at least 3 occasions...and Brexit was not involved then as it is now

Gie dreich in Lanarkshire...cold wind...dark murky sky...gardens are sodden...I I live on a valley slopeside, so drainage is not a problem...just constant rain for days now. Great to have central heating and a right good feed of sausage, ham and eggs on the go :)

Craig...I think Billys having a hard time thinking about buying back into Tesco.....and I cant see why...4 years ago it was sitting at the best part of 335...sunk to 149 two years later...was up at 260, August this year, and now trying to tempt Billy on 197...I'm sure he'll snap up a few

No matter what the new Mex President was elected on, like so many others before him and elsewhere in the world, he'll soon figure out that the backroom boys are the ones who get things done and he'll be "required" to play along....or have a short presidency :)

That wee drop of divvy ....what a difference it makes to the outlook....pot is now bigger than what it was when I bought FRES....I could sell them at current and still be up.....you've just got to love a divvy LOL and a wee PMSL
