Nothing stops me trading Billy...if the price is right.... in my eyes....was wary it was a suck in....didnt see it getting to the level it did....theres always tomorrow :)..... anyway...deal done on OMU....no point in pushing the luck, a profit a day keeps the bailiffs away

And hanging about current levels....trying to get buyers in with the old FOMO on the spurts, then sinks back to the lower levels......must be waiting for the yanks

Just a quick note I got from him Billy...and the OLD MUTUAL...thats mine, in case you thought he had them too :) ....thought I'd pass on his comments in case anyone is doing the indices

JMO: What we might see is a dead cat bounce, followed by a resumption of the downtrend on the German and French indices, dragging the FTSE with it... which will trigger a second tranche on the FTSE for me... I'll then go long on the Dax and Cac40 if the present buy signals (in that scenario) if Not I'll wait on the short later for them.

In the meantime, Old Mutual is in profit for me, so not a bad start to the New Year.

For the New Year guys....closed the year by taking some Old Mutual just before close....so hopefully it and Glenda will get off to a roaring start on Wednesday....cheers...down the hatch !

On Friday, late afternoon I checked the FTSE 100 listings. 99% were in positive territory.....why?

The market survived....it always does

PRU....now a fully paid up member of the 30% club.... PRU 1,393.00 -6.00

Amongst the best performers must be BAG....Barrs Irn Bru...the other national drink...15.74p annual div for 2018...just under 2% return, but holds its capital value pretty well

Back to the grind.....still say in current climate cash is king and wont be tempted to trade until the mess(s) are sorted out....trading is hard enough in "normal" times.

So lets say leavers are the majority...what will it have acheived....another round of negotiations and other round of stalling, more uncertainty for another 3 or 4 years, and if the remainers are the majority, just shut down current far ting about and go to the naughty step....no doubt that the major players would want to put UK down and out of the way

Reckon they wont let up until the FTSE breaks 6600, leaving that as the top end of the FTSE for next year.....can see it doing 6000 -6600 range for 2019...base your buys on that and you shouldnt be too far out

Needs 1393 or thereabouts to get the 30% membership card... :)
