Cheers Pdub, despite being basic and a bit vague it's very revealing. Obviously, P/E ratio is not the only factor in choosing investments but it will sure highlight us as undervalued.

One thing I noticed in pulling other company financials is how little profit they're left with (percentage wise compared to their overall earnings).

Bushveld is so low cost, with the growth potential and lack of debt this is a strong buy just for Vametco. The further value to be unlocked for other assets should add further weight later this year.

I've been banging the FY results drum for a while, I think that and the AIM 100 are massive for getting new investors onboard. A proper P/E ratio is not yet allocated to Bushveld (IMO) and the FY results will be part of the springboard.

I decided to look at AIM 100 P/E ratios of companies similar to BMN in mcap terms. I've paid no attention to sector/debt/how long companies have existed etc..

Mcap information comes from stockchallenge and was correct at 11/01/19. PE ratios are from ADVFN. Bushveld price at the time was 40.5p. I picked the 5 companies either side of Bushveld in mcap size:

RST 43 JSG 18 IGR 27 CVSG 41 MIDW 32 ACSO 48 POLR 13 SCH 23 CAML 10 NFC 41

Average P/E just under 30, which I find 'very' interesting.

Need to smash through 50p this time and leave it behind.

Hi pdub. That would depend on any news positive or negative that's happening at the time. If all is expected with nothing especially positive or negative then 50% gain from here should be pretty quick. Just my opinion

Good news medium term in that they expect to be in production next winter. Short term I've no idea how share price will react, always hard to say here. Current prices probably good entry point if you're willing to hold a while. GL

Good to see them willing to come out and face the music, I've been critical of Gwmo in the present but this is a positive.

I think things are just fine as they are Alfacomp. I did feel for you in November with the volume at that time. I am sure I'm not alone in thinking we stay the current course, recommends n'all.

Seriously though, with the buys to sells ratio and potential of the company they'll never find 10M will they? They'd be best cutting losses and making it back going long, no?

I certainly hope you're right, and yes - there could be upside in the spring.

I don't have a lot invested here but it's one of the worst performing shares I've ever picked in all honesty. I know the BOD have thrown their own money at it (which inspires confidence) but not even reaching target depth at ST in 2018 was a bad show.

Hope for a better time in 2019.

From November be update:
Preparatory work for the completion of battery commissioning for the deployment of the maiden VRFB from UET with the national utility, Eskom, in South Africa recommenced at site and is due to be completed before the start of the South African holidays in December 2018. The system is co-owned by Bushveld Energy and the Industrial Development Corporation ("IDC").

The delay from the original timeline for the project, which saw delivery of hardware at the end of Q2 2018, resulted from the unexpected contamination of the electrolyte that occurred during the filling stage, which was discovered during system commissioning that made the VRFB inoperable. Without a mixed-acid electrolyte facility in South Africa, filtration of the electrolyte in-country was not possible. A remediation strategy was implemented in August 2018 to replace the electrolyte and certain contaminated components of the system. Site work for remediation began in October 2018 and commissioning restarted at the end of November 2018.

The USTDA awarded a grant to UET and Bushveld Energy in support of the Eskom project and the development of future applications for energy storage and VRFBs in South Africa. USTDA's approval process included external technical verification of the technology and the proposed project, indicating confidence in the long-term viability of both UET's technology and expected opportunities for energy storage in South Africa.

I'm looking forward to more about this, love the last paragraph regarding the USTDA external verification. Hopefully the company will provide an update soon for us to all discuss as the board is becoming tiresome at times. GL those that hold.

Checking in from the Caribbean and seeing lots of laughable comments. How ppl trade is up to them but to see someone criticise a company that made a few hundred percent for investors in 2017 and then 2018 is insane.

FY results and assignment of an appropriate p/e ratio will mean that anyone who bought at 50p will still make money short term. Gla.
