Hi Bob they have been trying fracking in the uk onshore for over ten years with no commercial oil or gas, and I believe according to the renowned geologist SS and many other that the weild geology is already fractured, but maybe this will help you understand overall, Prof Jonathan Stern from the Oxford Institute for Energy Distinguished Research Fellow and founder of the Natural Gas Research Programme at the Oxford Institute for Energy Studies (OIES). He holds professorships at the University of Dundee and Imperial College, London; and fellowships at the Energy Delta Institute and the Institute of Energy Economics, Japan (in Tokyo Studies says: "The main issue is that if you started drilling tomorrow, had success the day after and everything else went to plan, it would still be two to four years before you could produce enough gas to make a difference to UK output. Reversing the ban on fracking does not present an easy, quick answer to high energy bills either. Prof Stern said research 10 years ago had concluded that fracking wasn't viable in Europe and that was still the case. Sounds as if the Shale Trail walkers know more about the potential of HH and Brockham than UKOG and Angus do. Not sure about Angus, so can’t comment, but yes the Shale Trail walkers, are about the same as ukog they just make it up as they go along.

I personally take no pleasure in the possible demise in ukog, but feel that the posters on here that have been ramping and recommending strong buy, should be made aware that they have been well off the mark, and should be reminded of this at every opportunity…

The rampers don’t realise it, but they are fighting a losing battle, on the Loxley front, I think everyone knows even if they started drilling today, and were fortunate enough to hit gas tomorrow, production would still be years away, so yea you better sit tight if you don’t want to sell at a loss, but this is going nowhere fast…

And I wouldn’t be surprised to see this going lower before the end of week…
