Fracking is a non starter it wouldn’t work, and if you believe SS it’s not needed, the fractures are already there, not just my opinion or that of the many experts I have casually spoken to over the years (none of whom are trying to protect their jobs I can assure you) I don’t know why we are even talking about it, it’s about as relevant as FOTH and his secret pipeline…Along with the information I have gleaned over the years here’s some data to back this up, Fracking is a non starter for political reason and the most important, the geology, so forget about it and back conventional oil…The case for fracking has been weakened? given further oil and gas exploration in the North Sea and to the West of Shetland, along with many other projects in the pipeline and also significant growth in renewables’ contribution to the UK’s energy mix The implication is that because fracking works in the US, it must also work here. Justbe honest, that just sounds like an offshore worker promoting his own job (offshore drilling) , and wouldn't the people he speaks to in his job say the same to protect " their " jobs also… maybe I have got your posts in the wrong context, but are you actually saying that the many experienced oil men that I have had the fortune to chat with over the years have been making stuff up to protect their jobs, and indeed are you saying the same about me ? Firstly I am no eco warrior or greenie, and indeed work in the offshore oil and gas industry, an I have spoken to many Company men, Drillers and Tool-pushers, and most if not all I have personally spoken to have intimated that there is no place for fracking in the uk, firstly on geology, including the data on tremors, but mainly the fractures, secondly the general consensus is that there is enough conventional oil in place still available, when the political climate allows, and a campaign to reinstate fracking would be detrimental to the oil and gas industry in general in today’s green climate, This is an opinion formed basically by chatting to the men at the coal face, so to speak.

Just for discussion, I am invested in BP and Alba and have never posted on either board, I was invested in GGP and hardly ever posted there, this company (ukog) is the worst I have ever invested in and therefore I like to voice my concerns, especially when the same rampers have continually been posting imminent riches for the last 4 years, and apart from the odd pump and dump the sp has dramatically nosedived…
