Gideons I have fought several fires at sea, once having to release Halon gas in engine room, on the last fire I fought in accommodation, there was no automatic co2 so it was ba and hand held appliances, the fire had to much of a grip and I had to put out may day and indeed abandon ship, to be picked by helicopter, I have probably seen more fires than you, as well as crude oil…
