I have recently halved my holdings from £120k to £60k by selling my ISA stock and keeping the normal account to avoid tax. I will look at the UK opening tomorrow. It will fluctuate a bit to begin with but might be worth putting half back in. Gold might well drop to nearer $4000 soon so still have to keep a keen eye on things.

Fyi I started with £30k and have taken bits out of £170k for other things so I have been on a long interesting journey like many here over a lot of years.

The Town hall with Sean was very positive. Well worth the hour watching. It was nice to see it appear on YouTube today. There will obviously be no down time at Telfer before Haveiron starts production. Copper is a great bonus and tungsten might be even better as it is one of the world's biggest deposits.

Things must be very good as Sean is quite reserved normally.

Very interesting stuff recently.

Bumps has given us invaluable information over the years. People who have been here before the first mad rise will understand, especially those who were wise enough to cash out on the quick down turn. I was stubborn enough to wait until it was 12p but I suspect that many didn't sell at all.

I kept a close eye on things as it was obviously a potentially great investment. Years of watching gave us a good insight to the potential and we deserve the benefits now and in the future for sticking with it.

Up to you but I believe that the future is golden.

I remember that it went down and then down again so I gave up watching and decided that investing was not for me. If you remember, you had to phone up and speak to a person to invest and when you did go ahead you were sent a large certificate which looked very grown up! Thankfully they reminded me five years later that I still held shares. It was very useful as I had a second child. Unfortunately it was just before the 1992 crash and I bought some other stuff. It's all about timing and I was still very green. Luckily I never gave up hope and it has only taken another thirty years for things to work out 🫣.

I must correct my previous post.

It was only £100 I invested. You can imagine how surprised I was when I had a statement from Redmayne Bentley five years later saying it was worth £1800. That was when a three bedroom house was about £85,00. Yippee 😀

Just a quick little pointer.

My surname is Paterson.

Someone previously referred to our mining region as Patterson. That really annoys people of course.

Paterson is the Scottish spelling which was probably something to do with the area originally as we were more likely to have been deported for colourful behaviour.

Unfortunately I remember Black Monday back in 1987. I had just had the benefit of a £500 gift from my Mother I decided to invest it in a random gold mine started by Alan Bond. Unfortunately I invested on the Friday before.

I didn't look again for five years . When I was informed by my Broker, Redmayne Bentley, that I have some shares, it had gone up from £50 to £1800. Things do happen. Unfortunately I was caught out with Black Wednesday in 1992.

If you can get past those two dates and still keep smiling then well done.

I bought at 4p and watched it go up to 38p at the top. I was sensible enough to sell at 12p on the way down. I think that many were not and never came back.

By that time I was more informed and looked at Greatland with an enquiring mind and it was easy to see the potential. I am so glad that I kept myself informed over the years, like many of you have. It is not luck that long term holders are reaping the rewards now. It is down to due diligence.

Another £5m after hours purchases, like most days. One assumes that some of these are institutional purchases. Hopefully when the percentage gets above 60% then we will get a sensible share price increase? It still might take a few months so best to wait.

Compared to other miners I believe that we are substantially undervalued. Our potential has become reality over the last year but the share price hasn't really followed.

It is a possibility that the US will revalue gold in the not too distant future to make their balance sheet look healthier as they have done before.

They will probably start printing money again soon which will devalue the Dollar and increase the book value of gold.

I can't see a downside for the foreseeable future apart from institutions trying to increase their holdings above the 44% that they currently have which is probably keeping the price lower than fair value at the moment.

I see that Blackrock has increased it's holdings by 1%. By my calculations that is $50,000,000.

Can someone confirm that or correct me?

I believe that the major world currencies are moving away from 'fiat' (Latin for 'let it be thus')

and towards tangible assets. I.E. gold.

Hopefully a large decrease in the value of the Dollar in the middle of next year will see a massive change 🤔

We see trading overnight on the ASX but are stuck waiting for the AIM to open to be able to trade.

Is it possible to be able to trade on both markets?

Can you split your holdings between both?

I suspect that you would have to open an account in Aus. Does anyone know?
